A marriage is not just a wedding. Although it can start to seem like it as preparations and plans take over your life. There are times too when it can seem as though it`s all about the bride rather than the bride and groom as a couple.
When the preparations seem to be taking up all your time just step back for a minute and take a little time out together as a couple. A wedding is one day, but afterwards you will hopefully be spending a lifetime together.
Now all that`s out of the way, we can also say what fun it should be too. The perfect day doesn`t necessarily run like clockwork but you should enjoy every minute of it. This wonderful day will remain with you all your life. I know this from experience. I have been married 36 years now and my wedding day is as clear in my memory now as it was the day after it happened.
So on the big day, enjoy every minute. Rise above it all and have fun. Laugh together, take in all that`s going on around you and file it away in your memory for later. It should be the best day of your lives so far, that is eclipsed only by the wonderful life that follows.

A love that stands up to the test
of time and all of the rest.
That endures through the ups and downs
stands steadfast through smiles and frowns.
Without the low, there wouldn`t be high
but through it all your love will fly
against the world steady and strong,
a love like this can never be wrong.
So be sure to to love enough and agree
never to tie down, to set each other free.
So together you have each others back
and make up for what others lack.
A true meeting of spirit and mind
remember to always smile and be kind!

#JuneBugs Finale #FolksyFriday

Well that`s it then. Another month over and another listing club ended. It always seems a bit sad to finish but usually we are then gearing up for the next. Well lot`s of Folksy people are, just not me.. well not yet. I am wavering a bit. I`ve been part of the listing club since I opened UniquelyYours last September and I must admit it will seem strange not to be taking part in July. It has become a part of my routine to pop onto the thread and see what`s been added in the day after listing mine first thing in the morning. Still I`ll just see what happens and how I get on. I will still do blogs on the July listing club so you can all view the amazing creations.
I want to say a BIG THANK YOU to Natalie, of NOFKants Curios, for her unwavering support of all the club members. For bouying us up, cheering us on, keeping the tally and generally being there for us through thick and thin.
Took my 4 yr old grandson into the city yesterday. He had a teacher training day and rang me the day before to say he would like to come with me. We used to do that often before he started school. Go to the main library for a while, trundle round bookshops and toyshops, have lunch out and usually end with a visit to the pound shop. All the grandchildren love the place and a visit into the city nearly always ends up there. My daughter is always `thrilled` with the things they return home with, I can tell.

The June Bugs has ended, it`s so sad.
The year is half over, that`s very bad.
Where did the month of June go?
Went very fast, though sales were slow.
Cheering each time for those with a sale,
telling those without, that they didn`t fail.
The highs and lows of crafting,
a bit like white water rafting.
Hanging on tight, knuckles going white
at the many creations, what a sight.
So many already, preparing ahead
for winter, maybe I need a shed.
The cupboards are filling, the shelves are too
with many creations made for you to view.
The coming months will see me ready,
I`ll be able to take it nice and steady.
I`m hoping to have 3 months at least,
will it be famine or will it be feast?
I`ll miss my listing club friends
I could join for July, it all depends.
On how much motivation for getting it done
or will I be tempted into the sun?
I`ll need 90 pieces ready to go
will I manage to make it so?
Pictures and drafts will be ready I hope
I`m sure I will be able to cope.
They`ll be no frantic making to be done,
this year more leisurely and fun..
Two months off and I`ll be rarin` to go
ready to get back into the listing club flow!!

I decided to go and wander around Folksy and just pick out items that caught my eye. I quite like doing random blogs, you just never know what you are going to find. I do believe that today I have excelled myself with the total diverity of goodies arrayed for your perusal.

Amazing really how much there is on Folksy. I`m always discovering shops I have never seen before, even after all this time. Often they are well established shops that have been there a long time. I suppose if they don`t go on the forums then you don`t know they are there. It`s not until you are searching for something in particular and the shop comes up in the search that you find them. Makes me realise the importance of going on the forums to chat with other sellers and to promote new listings.

Some of the shops I hadn`t seen before were new shops. It`s nice to find those and see lot`s of different creations, great fun.

Yesterday I didn`t go anywhere at all. Stayed home and crafted. Got lot`s of knitting and crocheting done. I am starting to make things for winter. Actually I had already started, but now I am stepping up the winter creating. I doubt if I will be making many more summer things. My hubby was busy outside turning a lump of Yew wood into a bowl and thoroughly enjoying himself. I was very impressed by it too, it looked fabulous and will look great on my table too. The day before he was busy making a lamp base, made a very good job of that too. The pieces of wood were bought as Fathers Day presents, wood turning blanks, apparently. It does make a lot of dust. I had to shut the back door as he was doing it outside in the driveway and the dust was going everywhere. Men!!!

Now the wind is starting to blow
and clouds are beginning to flow.
Covering up the lovely blue sky
is summer gone already, we sigh!
The heat is gone, the wind is chill
the thought of more rain doesn`t thrill.
So rain go away, sun come back
else Mother Nature will get the sack!

Went to get my grandson from school
was I daft or just a fool?
Nearly took my rain coat
but it didn`t get hubby`s vote.
So I left the coat behind
and then what did I find?
The heavens opened, heavy rain
wouldn`t you know it, what a pain!
There was a rumble and a crash
followed by a lightning flash.
A dash to the car, in the dry
now we`re home. A Happy Sigh!
