Delectable Delights #CraftyFolk

It`s delectable treats from the February Crafty Folk today. The daily listing club on Etsy of UK sellers. It`s wonderful to be a part of the group and to have the support and advice of others who have been on Etsy far longer.
That`s the great thing about listing clubs, the way we can all support and help promote each other and give and get encouragement when it`s needed.
It`s also great, though a daily temptation, to see all the fabulous crafts that all get listed on a daily basis.
Yesterday I did manage some knitting and crochet in the day, in between shopping, a doctors visit and picking up the youngest grandson from school. I also went and babysat for a while for the grandchildren and put the youngest two to bed. That was lovely, lots of cuddles and reading a bedtime story and more cuddles before returning home.
I finished a scarf for an order and started another as I wasn`t quite sure what was required. I just had a general instruction for a curly scarf in red and purple. So I will do two and the lady then has a choice of styles, although both will be in the ruffled design. I prefer to do that so the customer gets exactly what she wants.
Anyway I`m waffling on again. Time to rhyme.

Greenery fights through the white
a very uplifting sight.
Nature`s miracle daily appears
even before the snow clears.
It`s pristine whiteness is a draw
making us want to seek out more.
I love to walk in unmarked snow
even as the wind begins to blow
it all about and into the air,
the sun creating quite a glare.
But too, it makes it sparkle and shine
a pure landscape that looks so fine.
The black and white in sharp relief
the beauty almost beyond belief.
So many never seem to see
all there is that can be
theirs to enjoy if they desire,
so much to light the creative fire.
Mother Nature gives us much,
though sometimes it`s a harsh touch.
There is much beauty all around,
it`s there waiting to be found!

Butterfly Flutterby #FolksyFriday

It`s just got to be butterflies today. This time from Folksy. Although maybe I am stating the obvious as you will already have seen the title. Have to say though that if you come in regularly you have probably realised how good I am at stating the obvious.
Perhaps it can be called a skill? No? Would idiotic be more what you were thinking? Mmmm... yes I thought so. Have to say I am inclined to agree with you.
Anyway I digress. Shocking I know and so unlike me. Tee hee..... Ooops I`m doing it again.
Butterflies!! Back to the topic. I shall go have a look on Folksy and see what delectable butterflies I can find. Somehow I don`t think I`ll find edible ones like yesterday. I have to say here that the shop with the edible butterflies was amazing, if you get the chance do have a browse if you love butterflies. I was ages looking through after I`d put the pic on here.
I`m at it again, waffling. I am off to have a look now on Folksy for butterflies.
Well I`m back and have found lots of delectable goodies for you, all butterfly adorned. Hope you enjoy them too.
Yesterday was a strange day. Still so cold of course and very grey. I didn`t stop all day but I`m not sure how much I actually acheived. I did prepare tea in advance for the grandchildren visiting, a trip to the post office, lots of computer work and a bit of knitting was about all I managed during the day. I was planning on doing loads of things but didn`t get round to them. Never mind, today is another day.

Butterflies are fluttering by
doesn`t their beauty make you sigh.
So many wondrous creations to see
amazing colours, for you and me.
In the winter I miss them so much,
watching them fly and gently touch
down on each plant and then away,
fluttering softly through each day.
They seem to be an essence of summer days
when all we have to do is laze
enjoy the garden and the beach
if we are lucky enough to be in reach.
So now I`m longing for the summer sun
and looking forward to summer fun.
But in the meantime we have these
and I hope they`ll delight and please.

Butterflies #Handmade #Etsy

I couldn`t think what to have on here today until I saw some butterflies. Those who are regular visitors know that I love butterflies and find them irrisistable, so that decided me. I haven`t looked on Etsy before for butterflies so I decided to go and see what I could find. I was amazed by the array of butterflies on offer, as actual crafts themselves or adorning crafts. I had a lovely time looking through. There are even edible butterflies and boy, do they look yummy.
I hope you enjoy the crafts I selected but if they are not the choices you would make, do go along and have a look for yourselves. But first have a browse through the shops on show here today as they all have so many fabulous creations.
I was at work yesterday but of course still managed to find time for some crochet. I am working on a scarf for an order at the minute and have put aside the two scarves and the hat I was working on. Oh and the two pairs of fingerless mittens that are half done in fluffy yarn as well. The fluffy feathery yarn is a pain to work with but the end result is so worth the effort as they all come out so ultra soft, thick and cosy.
Anyway, back to it, butterflies. Must stay focussed. Time for a rhyme now, but what it will be about I have no idea as yet.

I love to see a butterfly,
I love to see them flutter by.
They look so pretty and bright,
always such a glorious sight.

won`t that make people stare.
A wedding guest book on wood,
go on, you know you should.
How about some for your wall,
not so different at all.
What about butterflies to eat
won`t they make a yummy treat.
A gorgeous hand painted pot
now doesn`t that look really hot.
A beautiful picture and a card,
choosing one thing is really hard.
Something to wear or to carry
don`t they all make you want to tarry
here and drink your fill
before you head off to the till.
