Not only that it`s nice to see a variety of summery blues. I think they are pretty and make everyone feel a bit brighter. Well let`s face it we need something to brighten our lives as the weather certainly isn`t. Not yet anyway.
Yesterday I went on the bus with my youngest grandson to the city. He really does love a bus ride, especially if it is a double decker. Then of course we have to sit on the top deck and he loves it if the odd tree branch hits the roof or window and makes us jump.
For a split second, he jumps and freezes, then he realises what it was and the dimples appear and he giggles and laughs. The laugh is so infectious that he makes me laugh too. He`s got such a cheeky, yet angelic face that people are always smiling at him and saying how cute he is. They ask if he`s good and I always reply that he is. But then each of the grandchildren have always been very good when they are out with me, whether alone or en masse.

Summer blues look very pretty
but this summer we don`t feel witty.
Very little sight of blue sky,
I just wish I knew why.
The wind blows hard all day long
by evening it `s gone and that`s wrong.
We want it warm in the day
not the chill wind, I say.
So as we are missing summer
which one and all thinks a bummer,
I thought I would show some blue
to cheer the day up for you.
We were told, there`s a drought
but clearly the truth is out.
Torrential rain has caused floods
and hosepipe bans are duds.
Take off the ban, quick as quick
because this rain gets on my wick.
Then maybe we`ll get some summer sun
before the summer season is done!
