Getting Fruity #Etsy

This was a treasury for the CraftyFolk Shop of the Week winner Liz from MADMUM KNITS.
I decided to do fruits after a look through her shop and seeing the pineapple tea cosy which is gorgeous. All of Liz`s patterns and knits are obviously made to a high standard and wonderful.
Her shop bio says:

I am a mum of 3 and now grandma to 5 lovely and lively grandchildren.
I have suffered from M.E for 25 years, at my worst was bedbound and used a wheelchair for 5 years. I had to change my lifestyle from very active to sedentary so turned to crafting.
Madmum designs happened about 7 years ago. After a mental breakdown a friend suggested I try designing. I used this as therapy and now it keeps me sane. After selling on another site I was introduced to Etsy and so madmumknits was born. The madmum name comes from my son in laws who affectionatley call me mad mother.
If there is anything you would like knitted please convo me with your requirements.

Lot`s of fruits here today,
makes me think of sun and play.
Sun warmed fruits off a tree
I love to eat them you see.
Summer fruits in a dish
that`s a dream, a hopeful wish.
An amazing pineapple tea cosy
should make your tea table look rosy.
The sight of fruit fills me with hope
even if that fruit is soap.
A tangy orange like a setting sun
going down when the day is done.
Scented apples to make things smell nice
they`ll help to keep away the mice.
All sorts of fruity lip balm
gorgeous scents to keep you calm
or maybe to give you some zing,
in that case they`ll be just the thing.
My brains gone numb, this rhyme in done
so frolic in the fruit and have fun!!

Spring Pastels #Etsy

I hope you all have been enjoying your Easter break. With the weather so cold and wintery I keep thinking of spring. Well dreaming and hoping really.
I`m finding myself drawn towards anything that remotely looks spring like. I think it`s because I keep waking each morning to yet another dusting of snow and keep watching the flurries each day. BIG sigh!!!!
I am hanging on to the hope that all this means a good summer.
I`m digressing.... and so early. Oooops.

Now I`m really thinking of Spring
need something to give me some zing.
So tired of being cold and quivering,
getting out of bed and shivering.
Fed up with wearing so many layers,
want to wear less like the sports players.
Would like to be eating salads again
I want to see winter on the wane.
First day of spring has been and gone
and yet still winter lingers on.
Such topsy turvy weather we`ve had
I think maybe Mother Nature`s gone mad.
She`s tired of the damage we do
the worst is done by just a few.
It`s not done cos there`s many to feed,
mostly it`s all done out of greed.
Their time though is coming to a close
soon we`ll be rid of all of those.
Moving on into a future that`s bright
coming together and spreading the light!!

Happy Easter #Etsy

Well today`s it Easter Sunday. Whether it`s the religious aspect or the family time aspect that means the most to you, I hope you all have a wonderful day.
I did this blog because it is Easter and I wanted an Easter theme, or at least creations that make us think of Easter, like Eggs, bunnies and chicks etc.
It was a treasury for the British Crafters Shop of the Week originally.
As soon as I saw the shop I knew it would be ideal for an Easter Sunday treasury as there are beautiful crocheted eggs that I could build an Easter theme around.
Heather of Wisteria Cottage Crafts was this weeks winner.

Lots of children tearing around
looking for eggs on the ground.
How many are hidden away?
Will they find them all today?
They will be hunting high and low
excitement lending a special glow.
They`ll be looking here and there
in corners and simply everywhere.
Baskets and bags all at the ready
rushing at first, then taking it steady.
Being thorough searching each place
carefully watching the grown ups face.
Looking for each and every tell tale sign
that`s says `I`m close` all is fine.
At the end, such a wonderful sight
seeing the faces of utter delight.
Alight with happiness beyond measure
that they have found all their treasure!!
