Saturday... yippee!!! It`s the weekend!!! Yep, I bet that touches a chord with you all. Me? I`m at my job in the real world today, so my weekend is Sunday only. Although to be truthful weekends aren`t anything particular in our house anyway. When you work shifts, as my hubby days, often 7 days at a time, weekends are just days of the week. But it is great when he has a weekend off and really great when I get my weekend off every 4th week.
Today I`m going to showcase all manner of soaps and bathroom delights. I have seen so many gorgeous soaps on here that look good enough to eat. They would make fabulous presents or be great to adorn your own bathroom. The trouble is... would you be able to use them as many are like mini works of art. Many are great for those with sensitive skin that have to be particular about what they use and there are plenty for the men too.
Had a trip into the city yesterday and took my 2 yr old grandson. I had very little to do but he thought he would have a little wander in shops he liked the look of. The odd toy shop, a book shop a stationary shop and poundland. All the grandchildren absolutely love the place probably because it has such an assortment of things kids like. Predictably he came out with a truck but not until after picking up some balls and testing them out by bouncing them. After I picked up the first lot I turned round in time to see him testing another lot. Bless him.... Actually it`s not like him to do anything like that, usually he`s a model child. He walked so much he started nodding off on the bus home. That was soon cured by getting the truck out and he happily played with that and stayed awake. He`s such a cute little moppet with his curls and dimples.
Okay, end of waffle. Sigh.... I`m so good at it.

The weekend has come round once more,
time off and family is what it`s for.
Catching up on things or relaxing
nothing should be too taxing.
Love and laughter, having fun,
hurrying to get the jobs all done.
Connecting with family and friends
hoping everything seamlessly blends
into a wonderful big get together
that won`t take you to the end of your tether.
Because family time can be fraught
even though you think you ought
to have it all happy and light
sometimes they`ll be a bit of a fight.
But thats okay it`s all part of life
the highs and the lows and even the strife.
If we din`t have good, there wouldn`t be bad,
without the happy there wouldn`t be sad.
It would all be endlessly the same
and life wouldn`t be a fun filled game.
If your nemesis is lurking,
the one that means working
enjoy the evening instead
don`t go off early to bed.
Or make yours in the week
if it`s party time you seek.
Whatever sort that you enjoy
just make sure that you deploy,
the troops to get the jobs done
so you can also have some fun!!!

Floral Delight #FolksyFriday

Anyone know where that week went to? NO? Me neither. Still here we are again with a Folksy Friday to do and it seems like 5 minutes since I did the last one.
Well today I have decided to have flowers of the sort that don`t get crushed by wind and rain, that retain their beauty and colours to be enjoyed for years rather than weeks. There are some stunning floral creations on Folksy, from bouquets, clothing, jewellery, bags, homeware, accessories and so much more. There are so many categories I could go on and on and on..... and very often do. Tee Hee....
Makes me think of the first ever blog post I wrote. I recall sitting there, faced with a blank page and not knowing what to write. Then when I did start to write I felt like a bit of a plonker. After all who was going to read what I had written? But like we all do, I started to really enjoy it and found I was quite good at running on endlessly to an unseen audience. To be honest I`m quite good at waffling on in real life too. I call it a conversation in real life but the victim`s may not think the same way. Perhaps I should ask them..... Hmmm... maybe not, they might tell the truth and say it`s boring.
Anyway, now I love blogging and love it they folks seem to like the make up of this blog and come back to visit. It`s nice to know I have an audience who like what I do. Well... even if not like, I don`t mind if you just come to laugh at my inane witterings, I`m not proud. A view is a view in my book, regardless of the reason.
Oh man.... I`m at it again.... At this point I will stop wittering on. Maybe...

What has happened to our weather
JUNE? Knock me down with a feather!
More like April with these showers
it`s going to ruin the flowers.
Wind blowing hard and strong.
In June? It`s very wrong.
April`s weather was more like June
then we liked the extra boon.
Not now, I just want summer,
this lot is a real bummer.
Torrential rain hammering down
that produces a very big frown.
Wind blowing almost like a hurricane
hard to walk, even with a cane.
Washing has to be double pegged
else before you know it, it has legged
it, over the fence and far away
where will it be found today??
Joking aside it`s really not funny
why isn`t it warm and sunny?
The farmers said its far too dry
they shook their heads with a sigh.
Prices will go, up this is bad,
now it`s too wet, how very sad.
The prices will still go up anyway
regardless of the weather, we have to pay
through the nose in every season,
always the same, just a different reason.
What would they do if the weather was the same
they would have to invent a different game.
Still, for very different reasons,
I really love all the seasons!!

Random Treasures #Handmade #Folksy

I tried hard to think what to do today on here. I have ambled through Folksy but all to no avail. No particular theme leapt out at me. I tried, I really did. In the end I went with random items that caught my eye. Things that were different or colourful or pretty or I just really liked them. I think they are all lovely and I hope you like them just as much.
I was at work yesterday and thanks to waking up at 4.45 a.m got a lot done before I went. Sometimes I do resent the time away from my computer and crafting but it`s probably good for me to spend a bit of time away from it all. It`s nice to see my workmates and catch up with everything, probably good for my brain to think about something else for a change too.
I added a couple of new scarves/collars to my website, one of which is on here today. Have just about finished a cotton beaded summer scarf, so that will be appearing very soon. At the minute I have quite a few things in mid creation. I do try not to chop and change but when a new idea grabs hold I just have to give it a go. Very soon I am going to sit down and make a determined effort to get all these things finished, honest. I must have a months worth of items in almost finished states. Oh well, all in good time.

I tried hard to make a video
I wanted it to be just so.
Made three while I was away
but they are too big to play.
Well too big for the website
won`t go on, just can`t fight.
I tried again, did three in a row
on to the computer, another blow.
Files still too big, not by much
not something you can tell by touch.
So off I went and tried again
It`s driving me slowly insane.
Out of three again just one is right
are you feeling sorry for my plight?
I`m stubborn so I carry on
I`ll keep going till it`s done.
Must forget about all that
now that I`m here and sat,
ready to start for today
what I`ll put on, I can`t say.
Off to Folksy I will go
with an adventuring glow.
