Just Because... #FolksyFriday

Todays gorgeous array comes from Folksy, in case you didn`t guess from the title. I just happened to look at the new listings and that was it, off I went. They were added Just Because.. I loved the colour, they were cute, downright beautiful, something different and many more reasons. Basically I just loved the look of all these wonderful creations and I thought that you might too.
Can`t believe that Friday has come round so fast and can`t believe that it`s Easter already. I suppose I shall have to force down some chocolate, `Just because` it`s the done thing. Not to mention forcing down hot cross buns. Oh dear, the things I have to do. Tee Hee!!
Today is a momentous day too `Just Because` it is my youngest daughters birthday.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY Vickie!!!!!!!!
She has packed an awful lot into the last year... starting with getting engaged on her birthday last year. Then they packed up and went to live and work in Switzerland for 6 months, having decided to start planning the weddding too, which happened in February. Quite a life changing 12 months, now I`m wondering what the next 12 months will bring.
Yesterday I was busy shopping for food etc for the Easter weekend. I am cooking for several of us on Sunday, when we will be celebrating two birthdays. My daughters again and her Mother in Law`s too. She really got lucky with her in laws as they are really lovely people and we get on very well with them.
Anyway I`m digressing, that`s probably the only real cooking I`ll be doing as we are out for dinner Saturday night and maybe have a takeaway or something another night. Mmmm... there`s a thought. Trying to think when we last had a takeaway... several months I think, maybe longer.
Some shoe clips I ordered have arrived, so I am busy making some of those. I had made a few flowers in readiness but will do more and get them listed. I think they are a great idea to give shoes or sandals a different look, especially on holiday. With all the restrictions on baggage, thats one way of making them look different.
The rain finally stopped here in Norfolk. We did have sun, but it was windy and cold. I definitely preferred the spring weather.
I started a rhyme, stopped to check the listing club and saw a few comments about lack of sales so added a rhyme. I`ve popped that on here too, just for fun. Adding daft rhymes seems to make people smile, so that`s a good thing. Right? They say variety is the spice of life.

Now that Easter`s finally here,
Spring has vanished, that is clear.
I can`t paint, I`ve run out of card
for watercolour ACEO`s, that`s hard.
Only just got started again,
shop had run out, what a pain.
Probably won`t get much crafting done
I`ll be much too busy having fun.
Although, for me, craftings a delight
making the time is often a fight.

I went on a thread and wrote this rhyme
didn`t take very much of my time.

The sales fairy hid away in March,
was she being coy or arch?
For some of us the month was dire
didn`t exactly set us on fire.
But now a new month is here
where the sales fairy is, isn`t clear.
I know she`s busy on the `other side`
is that where she plans to hide.
Come on sales fairy, it`s only fair
to divide your time and share
your sales dust all around
and sprinkle it merrily on the ground.
I`d like a visit, a sale or two
will even spare chocolate for you.
Just 1 sale, make the move
to get me back in the groove.
Folksy sales are down in the dumps,
rating with life`s knocks and bumps.

Favourite Favourites #Etsy

I was going to have an orange theme as I have seen so many stunning orange creations and whole treasuries of orange that look just fabulous. I decided to look through my favourites first and there I stopped because I couldn`t resist adding some of my favourite favourites, if that makes sense.
I add items to my favourites to help with promotion and many just because I love them. I have an extremely large collection now. So I thought I would add creations that, for me, particularly stood out. If I added them all I`d be here till next Christmas I think.
Favourites are added because of colour or shape, cuteness or just because I find them generally stunning. I have to say that, on Etsy, there is such a vast array of new listings every day there are quite a few I love, hence the large collection of favourites.
I hope you love them as much as I do. I try very hard to resist temptation, not always successfully, but I am getting better. If I just had several houses to put them all in I would be okay, oh and unlimited funds to buy them all. Hmmm....
Yesterday I decided to brave the weather and get my hair cut. I don`t make an appointment just go and hope. Having little patience for sitting about my maximum wait is about 10 minutes. The first place I went it was 40 minutes so I went elsewhere. The next one much better 2 minutes and it was actually less than that. Woo Hoo. Have to say too, the cut was outstanding, so I was very pleasd with myself. Did a couple of chores that I needed to do and home I went. Result.
The weather wasn`t great but it was only drizzling when I left. By the time I`d had my haircut it was pouring with rain, not nice at all. Very chilly too.
I got some computer work done and then it was time to collect the grandchildren as they were coming for tea. A change of scenery for them as the weather kept them indoors, not good on school holidays.
Great to chat with the older ones and get the latest on what they are up to, very interesting. The younger two we played with and had lots of cuddles, sneaked some cuddles in with the older two as well... just don`t tell anyone.... might ruin their street cred.

good enough for any skin to cope.
A painted gourd, that`s unique
and I bet your interest, it will pique.
A cute bag and a mosaic art tile,
they are bound to make you smile.
The fleece I have left till last
trying to skip over it fast.
The wool, and colours, they seem
to call me as though in a dream.
I can`t help it, I have an addiction,
a yarn habit and that`s not fiction.

Greens of Spring #Etsy

After have a look round Etsy at various new listings and a few treasuries, followed by the April Crafty Folk thread, I decided to make todays theme Greens of Spring.
Each week a shop is chosen at random to be the featured seller from the Crafty Folk team. Then lot`s of the team members promote the shop by doing treasuries etc. So decided to do a blog post that included the shop, Liquid Silver Designs. Seeing as I didn`t get round to doing anything for last weeks featured seller Bonnie`s Sew Crazy I have include one of the crafts from that shop too.
I added more crafts from the team and then put Spring Greens into the search
and there were so many beautiful creations in shades of green that I was overwhelmed and had a very hard time deciding what to include.

Yesterday I was at work and we were unbelievably busy. The day usually does fly past but this went even quicker than usual. For a change I came home at lunchtime and instead of crocheting caught up on my e-mails. But you know me, I can`t go a whole day without crocheting so when I finally sat down to relax at 9.00 p.m I did some crocheting then.
Better get the rhyme done now I suppose.
Weary and the brain won`t play ball, so here is one I wrote earlier about lack of visits by the sales fairy when things were slow. Just a bit of fun to make you smile.

Have you gone on a long vacation
maybe stopped off at a way station?
Maybe you`ve been stolen by an evil gang
sorry I missed the phone when it rang.

Perhaps it`s a long way a way, a tropical beach
and you are very far out of reach.
Perhaps a cupboard door closed on you
and thats why the sales are few.
You might be trapped and wasting away
desperately wanting to come out and play.
But no you have much magic
so it can`t be anything tragic.
In my shop you haven`t been seen
for over a month, please don`t be mean.
Come back and I`ll forgive anything
I even promise not to sing!
Now Crime Watch is on the case
now they are showing her face.
Anyone got any news?
They are looking for any clues.
Detectives now are sifting through
searching for any view.
If you`ve held her captive please shout,
because it definitely will come out.
Mind you, I`ll get her by fair means or foul
I am officially on the sales fairy prowl!
