Happy Birthday to me today!!! I am looking forward to an enjoyable day that will end with a lovely meal out with my younger daughter and her fiance.
Because it is my birthday and I am feeling generous, I am going to have a one day sale of 25% off everything, refunded via paypal. That`s to save me changing all the prices, mainly because I would also then have to change them back again. That would be a lot of work for a one day sale.
Today I am going to have a wander and add random things that I really like the look of to this blog. Whatever I choose, don`t forget that each shop has a wide variety of items on offer for your delectation. So do take a little time for a browse and support the handmade community by buying unique gifts from us. Or treats for yourself of course. You could be like me and buy something as a gift and then not be able to part with it and then have to buy something else as a gift. Not to mention that I face temptation daily as I find all these wonderful items to put on here to tempt you with.

I`m having a birthday today
`How Old?` did I hear you say?
I`m 55 and very proud to be
this age and so very happy.
Is that sappy? Probably, who cares!
I can be eccentric and ignore the stares.
Age has lots of bonuses I`ve found
you can sing and not care how you sound.
Wear whatever you like in colour and style,
then change it all after a little while.
I really like colour it makes me feel good
so I wear how I feel, just as I should.
I am very happy, but also a bit sad,
it`s nearly a year since I lost my Dad.
I miss that special card he always chose for me
always a beautiful verse and wonderful to see.
There will be other cards I`ll love as much
with wonderful sentiments that will touch
my heart in so many ways
on this very special of days.
Opening presents by ripping off the paper
and all the cards, what a wonderful caper.
Bithdays spent with those you love are fun
with memories to savour when the day is done.
A hug and a kiss is more precious than gold
A cuddle with a grandchild a treasure untold.
Such memories are stored every day,
not just once a year on a birthday!

Congratulations to Kate and William.
What else could I do today but weddings. I know there is a Royal wedding but it isn`t the only wedding and for every bride it is their day that is the one of importance. Which is exactly as it should be. Every bride wants her own day to be special regardless of the type of wedding. Whether it`s the conventional one or more unconventional. Whatever the happy couple decide, they want, is the perfect day for them.
My younger daughter may be getting married next year and her wedding will probably be more unconventional. This will suit her down to the ground as she has never been a follower of fashion, more a leader in doing her own thing. Her fiance is a lovely young man who will prefer the unconventional too. I really can`t see either of them wanting the whole traditional show. A match made in heaven. Whatever they do, I know they won`t lose sight of the fact that it is about a marriage and that the wedding is only a very small part of that.
Take a little time to browse through the shops on here as many of them have fabulous items for the bride to be as well as many things that are an important part of the big day as well as the preparations.

but don`t let the thought make you sad.

Okay, this is the last day of the sales fairy verses. They are continuing to be just as funny, if not more so than the first ones. But I think that three days is probably enough for you all. Once again the poets, different ones this time, will have three items featured from their shop or shops. Some have two shops so will show at least one item from a different shop for more variety of viewing. I won`t waffle alot today as the verse is super, mega long. Hope you enjoy it and it makes you laugh. After all, you know what they say, `Humour is the best medicine`. A good laugh can make you feel good all day.
Would just like to know who the `They` is. Everyone talks about them, but no one knows who `They` are. Hmmmm.
