Yesterday was very hot outside but I was working in an air conditioned place and it was lovely. I wouldn`t normally say that as I love the warm weather but yesterday was a little excessive at 32 degrees. It was a sticky heat that didn`t get any better as the evening wore on.
Not quite sure what to put on for today so I`m off to Folksy for a look about to see what I can find. Back in a minute..
Back now. I saw some delicious baby items and decided, as there are lots of new babies and babies on the way at the minute, that I would display creations for babies and nurseries.
If I do say so myself. I think I`ve found some gorgeous items, even included some fabulous cards. Now what more could you want? And of course each shop has many more delectable creations for your perusal. Let`s face it, it`s only a click away and beats walking from shop to shop and back again as you compare items and prices. Not only that, many of these are one-off items that won`t be seen again and certainly won`t be found anywhere else. So if you like it, get it while you can. You know the sayong `If you snooze, you lose`. That saying is a favourite of my younger daughter. I must admit I like it too as it is quite amusing and very true.
Okay, no more waffling or wittering on.

Hearing about promised thunder storms prompted the poem.

Thunder crashing, a lightning strike,
what is there not to like?
I told my girls long ago,
scary? It isn`t so!
The angels are moving furniture round
that`s why you hear the crashing sound.
Then they knock into a light
hence you see the lightning bright.
After the storm the world is new
something noticed by very few.
Often there`s a rainbow as well.
I really love them. Can you tell?
The colours glowing so bright
make such an amazing sight.
Arcing all across the sky
I give a really happy sigh.
A rainbow makes me think of magic
a world without them would be tragic.
So see the storm in a new light
it`s just nature`s little fight.
As things up there fight each other
then make up like sister and brother.
Gaze at it in awe and wonder,
it`s only lightning and thunder!
