#Purple Power. #Handmade #Folksy

Today is purple power. I did this blog once but it vanished when blogger was off line. Supposedly the lost blogs are returning, but just in case I am re doing this one.
I had done them in advance as I want to spend time with my daughter as it`s the last weekend she will be home before heading off to Switzerland for 6 months. She and her fiance are going there for his job and I am sure it will be a wonderful experience for them. I am hoping that my hubby and I can go and visit them while they are there. Many years ago I had saved up for us all to go to Switzerland for a holiday, but my two daughters wanted a computer. I told them to ask their Dad, expecting him to say no, the money was earmarked for the holiday, but I forgot what a soft touch he was when it came to the two of them. Needless to say we didn`t make it. So this time, hopefully I will finally get there.
I have decided to just put shop names and see how it works out. I fyou don`t like it then let me know. It`s easy enough to get a description or to see a bigger picture by clicking on the item and viewing it in the shop. The sellers might find their views increase. We`ll just have to see.

Purple more than blue is royal

go on you it`s okay to confess,

that it`s just made for you.
Maybe jewellery or a bag
they won`t make you look a hag!
How about a hat or a scarf
that won`t make anyone laugh.
Whatever your shade choice
why not raise your voice
and say it`s the colour for me
I do, I love it you see.

Wednesday Delights #Handmade #Folksy.

Thanks to all those who came and read the blogs while I was away for a couple of days and thank you to those that commented too. I appreciate the support.
Now today I was looking back through to see what the last item I put on here was. There were some that appeared that have already sold but others I have listed in May that I haven`t shown on here yet. I was quite surprised until I realised that with various themes I had done it wasn`t surprising that they had missed their day in the spotlight.
While I was away I did a lot of crocheting. I finished a summer hat in Raspberry Pink made from bamboo yarn. Made a few more cases in types and colours I hadn`t done yet, then had an idea for a scarf. I made it and was pleased with the finished result, but that won`t apear until later in the year. I might even make a few more of those in readiness for the winter as that one did look really pretty. At the minute I am finishing another hat in bamboo and I have a couple of sets of glass covers and coasters to finish. They need beads, but unfortunately I have run out of enough matching ones to finish them. I have gone through alot of beads as they take so many and I like to match up the beads in each set. Now I am left with a random assortment of beads that I`m not sure what to do with. Never mind I`m sure I will think of something.
Anyway I had better stop waffling now. I still haven`t decided what to put on here, so it will be a surprise for all of us.

The time of intense mourning is past
all the milestones went so fast.
I spent time quietly with family
marking the major anniversary.
Now I`m back and starting to move on
while I was away I got lot`s done.
A lacy scarf, some cases too,
a pretty summer hat, all for you.
Coasters with matching glass covers
in two`s, ideal for friends or lovers.
On the covers there are lot`s of beads to adorn
great when you`re sitting with a drink on the lawn.
Summertime`s coming with outdoor living
a wonderful time for sharing and giving.

I looked back through, what to do?
Realised I didn`t show my new things to you.
Did so many themes that I couldn`t share
that you didn`t see much of my newer fare.
Today I am righting that wrong,
funny, feels like I`m writing a song.
have to say soory, cos there`s more of mine
don`t know if that`s a good or bad sign.
But maybe it will encourage you
to go along to my shop and view.
Only one of each colour and style
so if you like some don`t wait a while.
Once it`s gone, it`s gone forever
so it would pay you to be clever,
get in there quick as a flash
and for the till, make a mad dash!!

Inspired by the front page of Folksy I am showcasing ceramics today. I`ve never put ceramics here on their own, so it will be interesting to see how many of you visit to have a look.
So many practical and beautiful items, great for your own home or as gifts.
I`m hoping all goes to plan and these blogs do self publish properly while I am away.
I am in Milton Keynes for a couple of days to spend some time with family. Just me, I left my hubby at home as he has to work today. Me, I am back at work tomorrow.

Everything I have I own,
the seeds long ago were sown.
Now all I have is owned free and clear
and I can spend on those I hold dear.
I go out to work part time it`s true,
besides creating wonderful things for you.
But I do what I love and love what I do
making unique accessories to view!!!
