Something Different! #Handmade #Folksy

Today I went searching and I think I`ve found creations that are a bit different. I was looking for the more unusual item and from my perspective, I succeeded. I hope you think so too. It was quite an adventure, searching until I found what I wanted. I also added shops to my favourites for future blogs and for gifts too, for birthdays as well as the coming season. Dare I mention that word? Christmas!! I know that lot`s of people are already buying to get that special gift before it goes, whether it`s for an upcoming special occasion or birthday, or the other word... I won`t keep mentioning it as it doesn`t seem quite right in August.
I showed off the blue mittens, that were on here yesterday, at work and they were amazed at the softness. A pair was ordered immediately by one person as a gift. I am going to have a pair myself too this year, especially if it is as cold as last year. Might have to make myself a pair of fingerless ones too, for when I`m crafting.
I finished a new collar yesterday too, that mixes a blue textured yarn with the feathery blue yarn of the mittens. At the bottom of the gallery are two pics from my website, a collar and a snood. The collar is a mix of two yarns, a textured yarn and a sparkly yarn, so it`s practical and pretty. The snood is one yarn of different pinks shading through to white and is quite versatile. It can be worn as a scarf in different ways or pulled up over the head like a hood with the rest keeping your neck warm.

I have to say this took a while
but what I found made me smile.
I wanted something different today.
Did I find it, what do you say?
Far and wide I did search,
from one shop to another I did lurch.
Seeking out something that stands out,
something that will make you shout,
I want to own that, it`s mine,
I think that is very fine.
Seek out something for a gift
that will give a loved one a lift.
Crafts are the way to go,
not just because I say so.
So many items are unique
and I think you`ll find they pique
the attention of another,
whether it`s sister or brother.
