Fabulous Finds #Handmade #Folksy

Today are random finds from the new listings on the front pages. I scroll through and add things that catch my eye. I think we all have a different idea of what counts as beautiful or outstanding, so these are my idea of eyecatching. I hope you like the crafts I`ve chosen too.
Yesterday I had to go imto the city and I couldn`t believe how busy it was in spite of the pouring rain. I must admit I can`t be bothered to amble about and look like I used to a few years ago. Mainly because I always have so much on the go at home. Things to make, computer work to do, blogging, etc.
It`s funny really... while I`m at work the creative side goes into retreat, at home, I often see things and find myself making up rhymes in my head, or generally thinking in verse, weird I know. Not quite sure how that happened, it has crept up on me gradually. I really should carry a notebook with me to write all of them down. One day. Sometimes when I sit here at the computer they just flow out. I do write them down then because it is handy to have some in hand in case I am in a bigger rush than usual. Although I have to say once I start a verse the rest usually flows out. Occasionally I do sit there staring at the screen wondering if I will ever manage to think of another verse, luckily that is rare. But it happened as I was writing today's verse. A call followed by a video chat via the computer to my daughter in Switzerland totally scrambled my brain. It was the talk of our upcoming visit and places to see that did it.
I have almost finished another collar, as well as making more mittens. I am loving trying out different textures of yarn together, it is quite an adventure.

I went off for a little jaunt

by now you muct have the expectation
that I will find something great
that you`ll love and will sate
your appetite for the unique.
I`m sure that much here will pique
your interest for the coming season
that is, if you need a reason
to buy something special for another,
friend or sibling, Father or Mother.

Okay now I`m trying hard to think
please don`t nod or wink.
I do really have a brain
even if it`s not quite sane.
Can`t think what else to say
I`m having THAT sort of day.
My daughter called from Switzerland,
now my minds gone blank and
I can`t think of anymore verse.
I ask you, What could be worse?
Halfway through and no more muse
so today I hope that you`ll excuse
the very lack of cohesion
that`s due to my confusion.
I`ll do much better for tomorrow,
hope you`re not feeling sorrow!
