I like to see foxes, or any wild creature and think it`s a shame that they have to scavenge for food in towns and suburbs because their own habitat is being taken away.
Been a bit under the weather, so haven`t had the energy or inclination to do anymore on the Pinata. I was going to try finishing it yesterday but the torrential rain put me off. Hopefully I will have a chance today in between preparing for visitors over the weekend. I shall be cooking a large piece of beef and another of gammon today, ready for the party on Saturday. Then on Saturday morning I will be busy making quiches etc for the afternoon.
My grandson will be 5 yrs old on Monday and will be having a party with his friends then, but on Saturday we are having a family party to celebrate. Hence the Pinata making. They could probably have a game beforehand of guessing what it`s meant to be, or even making up a name for it... Now there`s an idea. It does look strange and it`s not finished yet. I have been taking a few pictures as I went along, so you will be able to laugh at them. I shall put them on here, probably on Monday. Although it may put you off making anything at all.
As usual, to see a bigger picture or a description, just click on the item to view it in the shop.
ENJOY!!!
The saying is `wily as a fox`
I`d rahter think outside the box.
How about `a fox looks cute`?
with a lovely tail to boot!
Now they are becoming urbanised
as their habitat is re-sized.
Soon the countryside will be gone
by the time the builders are done.
Where will the foxes go then
with no place to build a den?
In town`s they look so hungry and thin
scavenging from any convenient bin.
But now the bin lids are tight
but they still try with all their might.
Seeing a wild creature gives me a thrill
and I think it probably always will.
Will future children see such a sight?
Not if we don`t put things right.
Many houses stand empty and sad,
officeblocks too and that is bad.
Many have been that way for years,
totally unwanted, or so it appears.
Use them instead of taking more land,
why they can`t I don`t understand.
Leave land for wild creatures to survive
I for one would rather see them live
than just some thing in a picture book
at which you can only wonder and look!
