We have new members and many who have continued to take part each month, there are also some rejoining after a break. I have tried to select items from new or rejoining members so thatn you don`t get the same shops as yesterday. See how good I am to you??
Saturday I got a small loom as one of my birthday presents and yesterday I was busy trying it out. I ended up with a slightly misshapen piece of material, but I was proud of having achieved that much. I don`t have a lot of patience with lengthy instructions but this didn`t have much in the way of instruction at all. So it was read what I had and then trial and error, but I got there. I enjoyed it and got something for my efforts. Will definitely be doing more and even trying to turn out something usable. It won`t take the place of my beloved crochet but it will be another craft I can use.
As usual, to see a larger picture or a description, just click on the item to view it in the shop.
ENJOY!!
Blue skies and sunshine yesterday
but wind strong enough to blow me away.
I filled my pots in spite of the blow
a job well done gave me a glow.
I wrestled with my new loom
watched a piece of material bloom.
I love to learn something new
I`m always so busy that I get few
chances of learning a new skill
but where there`s a way there`s a will.
A saying a bit backwards I know
I had to help the rhyme flow.
Now on to the listing club for today
it`s the Mayhems for the month of May.
We`ll be causing Mayhem and madness
this month but that`s better than sadness.
We`ll be creating and making like mad
I bet that makes you very glad.
Daily will appear delectable delights
so many beautiful and wonderful sights.
Things that will be tempting you to buy
creations over which you will sigh.
So save time and go and see
what`s in our shops and have a spree!!

Lots of lovely things as always! Thank you for including my card.
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear you are enjoying the weaving challenge. It does take a while to get the tension right to achieve straight edges - which is true of course of knitting and crochet. I'm sure you'll be equal to the challenge!
ReplyDeleteThank you again for the feature! Some really nice items here :) Glad you had a nice birthday too!
ReplyDeleteThanks again, Linda. Hope you are getting to grips with the weaving. I went on a course for it once and really enjoyed it but now I'm busy doing other crafts. I remember it was great fun. I didn't use those great big looms though. They are something else! They can be hard work!
