So many more rediscovering the passion
now owning art is back in fashion.
Good art can lift your spirits high
it can move you, make you sigh.
Engender feelings of happiness and joy,
and yes sadness too, boy, oh boy.
It`s nice to have for your very own
and with your room it can tone!
Some buy to match their decor
others because it becomes a door.
A door into a world beyond our own
in which drudgery has long since flown.
It`s nice to buy and good to look,
whatever you do is fine in my book.
As long as it makes you yearn,
maybe makes you want to have a turn.
That`s what happened to me,
I no longer wanted just to see.
I had to have a go at painting myself,
even if they only sit on a shelf.
It`s the creation that matters most of all,
especially when you get that creative call.
