Lemon & Lime #FolksyFriday

This blog was inspired by seeing a Folksy front page made as a Pinterest board by a seller. It had lovely lemon and lime creations that look really fresh and summery. I did use one item from the board but all the rest are from searches.
Now we finally have some summer I find myself leaning towards summery items for the blogs. Probably because we have waited so long and the previous weather was so dire. I shall have to looking for more outdoorsy type crafts, gardens and beaches and picnics... Hmmm. Actually that`s a good idea, not sure if I have ever done a beach blog. Well that`s ideas for the next few anyway.
I had a message to say that I had won a blog giveaway I entered which is fabulous. The prize is a bag, address book and cards all made by Edwina from Handmade by Edwina. I have had creations of hers on here before and they are beautiful. I also already own a wonderful bag. Anyway, I shan`t go on about that now as I shall take pics and show you....
Yesterday I was looking after the grandchildren, well the little ones anyway. The 5 year old had been talking about going to the city in the holidays so he was excited to be going.
The day started cloudy and I thought summer had gone, but no, slowly it got brighter and the cloud cleared until once more we had a beautiful day. The children had a wonderful time rummaging around in their favourite shops. Then we had lunch out before returning home.
Today I will be looking after them again, well just two of them, as the older two are busy doing their own thing. I suspect we will be crafting of one sort or another. Before the holidays started I was picking up a few basic kits the younger ones could do easily. So hopefully they will have a fun time and enjoy the day.

There is so much more green
in the world than I`ve ever seen.
So many shades standing together
all down to this strange weather.
It`s only July and already begun
as though summer is already done.
The leaves are starting to turn
though there`s been no sun to burn.
Leaves already turning red,
summer had nearly been put to bed.
Now suddenly there`s a weather change
and happily we see it range
through to a summer high
with sunshine and blue sky.
So now we think of citrus,
summer drinks with no fuss.
Lemon and lime summery shades
who`s popularity never fades.
Enjoy the warmth while it`s here
we`ve hit summer gold, that`s clear!!
