#April Showers #Handmade #Folksy

Todays blog is the April Show-ers listing club. We haven`t had one for several days so it`s their turn. Not so many listing over the holiday so the forums were quiet. With children off school and all the sunshine, who can blame them. I`ve just been going on early and then late afternoon, early evening time.
Not quite sure where yesterdays verse disappeared to, will have to make sure I double check everything is where it should be before I set it live in future. Apologies to those who were disappointed. Hopefully today`s mega verse will make up for it.
The other morning I wrote a little verse and posted it as a new thread on the forums. It was called `Ode to the Sales Fairy` a little tongue in cheek piece of verse because it has been so quiet. I was surprised at the response, several other people added their own bits of verse and they were really funny, some of them. Well they made me laugh anyway. So I decided to ask permission from the other participants to show their work here. I`ve shown it in the order it appeared.

the delightful goodies in my shop for you.
Such a variety, you wouldn`t believe
and still more ideas up my sleeve.

because that will be my cue
to make even more delicious delights
so wonderful they might cause fights.

The customers will all be there.
So if you all can wait a while
The Sales Fairy will make you smile

(she can only afford a staycation),
She knows we have been waiting a while,
To sell some stuff and raise a smile.
So hang on in there, she’s about to pack
And before you know it,
She’ll be back!

I don`t mind if she buys out of pity
or even because she likes my ditty.
As long as she comes to see,
my shop and have a spree.

This making up rhymes is fun
don`t know when we`ll be done.
But I like rhyming so much
I`ll be keeping in touch
to see what comes next
or should that be text?
Maybe it`ll make the sales fairy laugh
that`ll be better than making her barf.
We`ll all do what we can her return
maybe I should see if I can gurn?
Maybe not, a terrible sight that would be,
not one she would want to see!
