OctoberOwls Crafts #Handmade #Folksy

Thought I would show a lovely array of goodies from Folksy`s daily listing club, the October Owls, today. It`s so tempting each day looking at all the new listings and almost irrisistable when you click on them and read the descriptions. Must confess though, that it is quite a struggle alot of the time, to resist that urge to buy.
There are so many of them that would make fabulous gifts and even more that I would love to have for myself. If I bought everything I loved I would need another house to keep them all in.
I was at work yesterday and feeling a bit grotty with a headache and sore throat, plus a few extra aches here and there. Not to mention the running hot and cold. Hopefully it won`t come to anything and I will soon bounce back. I expect I`ve been in contact with some virulent germs and my body is busy fighting back. A couple of days at most should see me back to normal, touch wood.
I still managed to crochet at lunchtime and in the evening. I just finished another ruffled scarf in a gorgeous yarn of plums and purples. I seem to have quite a thing for these flowing colour yarns. If I make something with a plain yarn I invariable add a crocheted pattern to it. I just can`t seem to help it. I start and before I know it I am adding a pattern to take away the plainness. I`m not only a yarn addict, I am a pattern addict too. There is just no hope for me at all.
No more waffle, time to write a rhyme of some sort.

Why am I up at this time
besides writing this rhyme?
I must be nuts, I must be mad
or maybe I am very sad.
None of those at all,
it`s just the work call.
Always got so much to do,
I expect just like you.
So I`m up before the dawn,
to work in the early morn.
I get to see the night fade away,
turning very slowly into day.
Colours fade and another grows bright,
I never tire of this wondrous sight.
A different vista each morn
as I watch the day dawn.
An early start is worth so much
as I watch the sun rise and touch
the land all waiting and ready
for daylight, so slow and steady.
Once the day is finally here
then I know it`s time to steer
myself towards the breakfast table,
I really do eat, it`s no fable.
You thought I was chained to this chair
at the computer but that wouldn`t be fair.
I promise I do have a life as well
although at times it`s hard to tell.
But I do what I love and love what I do,
creating and making especially for you!
