AS usual, to see a larger picture or a description, just click on the picture and you will be taken the that piece of art in the shop.
ENJOY!
Couldn`t decide what to do today,
I thought of art, it might make me play
with my paints and get my inspiration back.
When I don`t paint or draw I feel the lack.
It takes me away to a wonderful place
where I work at my own slow pace.
Where, oh where, has my mojo gone
is that it, is my painting done?
I just haven`t felt the urge in an age,
can`t even put pencil or pen on a page.
A time without art is so very bad
I came to it late, so it makes me sad,
to no longer have this burning need
and no ideas, not even a single seed.
What should I do and where should I go
to find inspiration, to make it flow.
What do ther artists do when this occurs
does your irritation stick like burrs.
I can no longer go on the Aceo thread
it reminds me that my painting is dead.
It`s hard to see the paintings emerge
and I still don`t feel a single urge.
I will display pictures done weeks ago
just so that I have something to show.
I think I`ll stop fretting for a while
I`ll ignore the paints with a smile.
I am very sure I will paint again,
at the minute I just don`t know when!

Thanks for visiting, comments welcome as I love reading them.
What a lovely blog this is! As someone who has only just "discovered" ACEOs (or ATCs), I appreciate the work which has gone into those shown and especially like the sunflowers which brightened up this cold, rainy Scottish morning for me.
ReplyDeleteRegarding your lack of inspiration for painting, don't worry I am sure it will return when the time is right. I have found it is good to doodle on the ATC cards and would recommend you have a look at Zentangles on YouTube.
Thank you so much for including my mixed media ACEO of crocheted cherry blossom and beads amongst such talented artists.
ReplyDeleteLove them all, just wish I could paint!!!!

Thank you for the lovely thoughts about my poppies Linda...I loved the wee cottage when I first saw it on the 'Challenge'. I look at old photos when I don't feel any inspiration...I've taken loads of pics of flowers in the past....The poppies came from a photograph of some in my garden.

I'm loving seeing the variety of art on folksy too from the simple to the complex to the mixed media to the photos. Makes me want to dabble. Its been a while since I got my sketch book out. I used to love pencil drawing and pastels. Wish I could paint to Natalie!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous choices. Loving Petit Bird's postcard set
