Todays blog is Sunflowers, inspired by a lovely lady`s suggestion. Thanks Ursula, hope you like it.
Have been making some new creations that I am very pleased with and quite excited about. Have shown them to a few people and they loved them. I just love getting new ideas and working them out until I have what I envisaged. Although sometimes they take on a life of their own and become something different, but that`s okay too.
The verse was a tongue in cheek Ode to a sales fairy as it has been a bit slow on Folksy of late. But then it`s summer and people don`t go online so much or for as long. Just thought it would make people smile and cheer them up.

it`s mocking me, I have to say.
The sun came out I thought that`s why
now it`s raining, I still sit and sigh.
For weeks not a sausage or a sale
I think I am beyond the pale.
Made lot`s of goodies just for summer
they still sit there, what a bummer!
Sales fairy please pop in and say Hi
have a good browse before you fly.
While you`re there, just a little thing?
Buy and it will make my heart sing.
I have a theory that there is more than one
each has a craft for shopping they find fun.
The `all things yarn` may have gone away
I wish she would come back today.
A fairy for every craft would explain why
some are still doing well, while others sigh.
She has been gone for weeks I think
the thought makes my heart sink.
But maybe she has run away
and no longer wants to play.
OR did someone kidnap her and lock
our sales fairy away, to shock
us out of complacency and make us
try harder and work more without a fuss.
I`m working my fingers to the bone,
my craft I`m trying hard to hone.
Maybe it`s time for a break
but Folksy I won`t forsake,
I`ll step back for a while
so I can regain my smile.
I`m busy making while things are slow
now that gives me a special glow!
