#Birthday Celebrations!!! #Handmade #Folksy

It`s a busy three days of birthdays for our family, with four members celebrating being another year older. I always think birthdays are such fun. I know you are another year older but it`s still exciting. I think perhaps I haven`t really grown up. On my 18th, I thought I would magiclly become an adult overnight, didn`t happen. 21st? Nope! I thought maybe 30 would be the magical date. Still no sign! My 40th was great fun, loved every minute of the week long birthday, but still no sudden maturity. Now I`ve given up trying to be serious and grown up, I`m just me. I did tell my younger daughter when I reached 50 that I would become eccentric. She just raised an eyebrow and said `What do you mean become?` That says it all I think. So really we are all just big kids loving birthdays, adults and children alike.
Have chosen lots of items that I thought would make nice gifts for birthdays or anytime.

Is your Wednesday full of woe?
We have two birthdays on the go.
My grandson is 12 years old today
my daughter`s age, I won`t say.
She won`t thank me for telling you all
telling her age should be her call.
Birthdays are such fun events,
excitement, cake and lots of presents.
We`ll be off out for dinner tonight,
a family meal, a wonderful sight.
My grandson wanted a new bag for school,
these days they are more than a useful tool.
We got a few other things he wanted as well,
he was delighted with the stash, I could tell.
The shops were so busy, absolutely heaving,
no one showed any signs of leaving.
Once we were done we headed home on the bus,
I`d had enough of shops for both of us.
I got a few things for hubby too,
it`s Friday for his birthday zoo.
My brother has his birthday tomorrow
but he`s still away, much to my sorrow.
Four birthdays, three days in a row
gives everyone the birthday glow!
