I meant to do a lot yesterday but felt rather sluggish after being awake from just after 4.00 a.m. So I didn`t really have the same energy and enthusiasm as usual.
I did however go and meet a friend for coffee and we had lot`s of chat over coffee and cake. It`s been a good month since we last got together so we needed to talk a lot. Well .... maybe not `needed` but had to anyway. You know what they say `it`s good to talk` and we certainly did a lot of that.
As it was my hubby`s birthday my eldest daughter, son in law and grandchildren came to visit after tea and we all had pancakes as my granddaughter had wanted to make them.
Earlier in the day she had thought it was pancake day but still wanted to do them when she discovered it wasn`t.
They were yummy with fruit and maple syrup.

Now that it`s almost spring,
winter is having one last fling.
Yes, here it`s coming down again,
being deluged with heavy rain.
A temperature drop as skies clear,
this could cost the plants dear.
A frost comes sparkling all around,
on roof tops and covering the ground.
The sun appears, the air is chill
it casts golden light where it will.
No real strength to warm the day
there won`t be many out at play.
Squirrels will stay in hibernation
not ready for a winters end celebration.
No bees or wasps about just yet
for that, much warmer, it has to get.
Won`t be long now the signs are there
soon we`ll be complaining at the suns glare!!
