Well today is a busy day with two birthdays to celebrate, my daughters and grandsons. I`ll be doing the birthday breakfast for about a dozen of us, with home made bread and a ham I cooked myself. Then we`ll have yoghurt and fresh fruit, eggs, bacon, croissants and ....... Well you get the picture but best of all, we`ll have fun.
Then we`ll be off to have a carvery for lunch, followed by an even bigger get together at my daughters in the afternoon.
It will all be wonderful, a real family day.

Here we are waiting for spring
ready for anything it might bring.
Hoping that the weather will be mild
instead of it`s customary wild.
Looking out for the green shoots
listening for the owls hoots.
Hoping to hear the birds sing
as they soar and wheel on the wing.
Love it when nesting time is due
as they all make their homes anew.
Flower buds begin to slowly appear
signalling when spring is finally here
growing tall and lifting their heads
proud to be in the lush flower beds.
Pastel colours appear once again,
some stripey like a candy cane!!
