This time of year of course, Autumn or Fall, the trees are shedding their leaves and I have to admit to a weakness for kicking through the piles of leaves even whilst admiring the wonderful display of colours and shades.

Trees are always a delight
and such a magnificent sight.
In the summer full of green
nothing better to be seen.
In the Autumn the leaves fall
not a good look at all.
By the winter they are bare
silhouettes without a care.
In the spring the new buds of life
signal survival of winters strife
stretching out towards the sun
to dance in the breeze, having fun.
For now the colours are fading
whatever the Autumn shading
all turning brown at the last
saying Autumn has finally passed!!
