I`ve probably had kits as part of a theme but not just craft things.
Most people do crafts of some sort or they`d like to have a go but don`t where to start. Well kits are a great way to start. They tend to have everything you need for the particular project and it`s a good way of finding out if you like the craft before going mad and buying loads of equipment.
I thought that for those thinking of gifts we would have all types of kits. Craft kits are great for children to have a go at in the holidays, especially in the winter when it`s wet and cold.
Not only that it`s a great way of spending quality time together. Enjoyable, fun and you get something at the end of it. Children often love to make things to give as gifts and the recipient appreciates it that much more because of all the time and effort that has gone into it.My grandson made some earrings at school for Mothers day when he was just 5 years old. We were all very impressed.
Yesterday was a dismal day. It started grey and damp, then went downhill from there. It was quite dark in the middle of the afternoon with very heavy rain and quite chilly too.
In the morning I had visited the supermarket and was really struck by the amount of trees that were already full of leaves on the turn, seems to have happened all of a sudden. Although with the sudden onset of cold it`s not surprising.

It started off damp and grey,
I just hoped it would stay that way.
But no, it wasn`t to be,
the wind started up you see.
It got stronger and blew a gale,
round the house I could hear it wail.
Then the rain began, a little at first,
if only that could be the worst.
The wind grew stronger, blowing all around,
debris began to skitter across the ground.
We were in for a stormy night,
by mid afternoon we`d lost the light.
Children went past like drowned rats,
despite the coats, wellies and hats.
Flood warnings out once again
as we brace for more heavy rain.
Days like this are made for craft,
no, not building an ark or a raft.
Making and creating can be such fun,
with pride in the creation once done!!
