A-listers #Handmade #Folksy

Time to give the listing club a whirl today I think. We haven`t seen their fabulous creations for over a week so they are due a turn. Does seem quite quiet on the forums this month. I expect that`s due to holidays. The children are on their summer break and lot`s of people go away then. Don`t think it`s the weather as it`s a usual British summer of very variable weather. Still we do get used to it and tend to make the most of the good days. I think we need to as our winters seem to be getting longer and colder.
Had a fabulous weekend of family get togethers. Lot`s of catching up, talking and laughter, too much eating and drinking. YAY!!!!
Yesterday was the sorry tale, on here, of my attempt at making a Pinata but the children enjoyed it anyway.
Today I am making the most of my younger daughters last day here with us before she heads back to Switzerland and her lovely fiance. Her last day will be Wednesday but I shall be at work and only see her in the evening. She came home for the parties and to do some wedding plans sorting, but I think it`s mainly been a mad whirl of catching up and trying to get everything done.

My daughter came home the other day,
she`s came from so very far away.
Switzerland has claimed her for a while
and how I missed her happy smile.
So much to do while she is here,
we`ll never get it all done I fear.
The last week has gone so very slow
but the next will rapidly flow
away until it`s time for her to return
where her fiance has gone to learn.
Love for a child could fill the world.
If only that love were unfurled
it could wrap around the universe
without love it would be much worse.
The world would be dull and grey
not just when it rains for the odd day.
Now her time is nearly done
and we`ve had so much fun.
But home is where the heart is
and love gives life it`s fizz.
Switzerland holds her heart
and back home she will start.
We shall join her for a holiday
time go quick is what I say!
