Fairies #FolksyFriday

My Folksy friday theme today is Fairies. There are so many lovely creations featuring fairies that I thought it would be nice to share them with you. Not an original idea I must confess as I did see something about fairies on one of the forums which gave me the idea to put them on here.
I suppose I shouldn`t be confessing that really, I should just say that the idea was all my own and take all the credit. Except I would feel guilty about fibbing and I would only have to change it to the truth.
Okay then, Pinata update.
I put the two paper covered balloons in the greenhouse to dry overnight and when I looked yesterday morning I had to laugh. The sight was quite funny. I must have looked daft though laughing at the greenhouse. The balloon that we thought was going down actually did, all the way. The paper cover sat on the floor in the dirt(I hung them from some staging). It was still roundish, just a bit flat where it landed. In the afternoon I got the oddly shaped one out and glued toilet rolls to it for legs. Now that wasn`t as easy as it sounds. I decided to use Loctite glue, thinking it would stick anything and be better, easier and faster. Hmm... Well I almost stuck my fingers together and it took several goes of each leg to get them to stick. I suppose the paper and cardboard was absorbing it quicker than it was sticking it together. Eventually though, half a bottle of glue later, they did stick.... sort of. Then I made more flour and water paste to finish holding them in place. When i had finished I was quite pleased with my efforts. Okay the legs weren`t exactly symmetrical... okay, stood on its legs later it wobbled. But I think it adds to it`s charm. When my hubby nudged it and it rocked, I told him that it was meant to look as if it was running. His sceptical look said it all really. But I shall plow on and hopefully add more to it today. My fingers are now glue free you will be pleased to know, I just no longer have finger prints.... joke... sort of.
As usual, to see a bigger picture or a description, just click on the item to view it in the shop.
ENJOY!!!

Fairies are things of myth and magic
without them life would be tragic.
We all need a little magic in our lives
to help us keep busy in our hives.
Like little bees we buzz around
trying to keep our feet on the ground.
Fairies, they fly here and there
we hope they have magic to spare.
Not just for children you know
believing can help us grow
into very creative folk
and no, it`s not a joke.
Imagination is a wonderful thing
think of all the joy it can bring.
It lifts us up when we are down
and takes away the grumpy frown.
It gives us dreams to strive for
and keeps us rushing out the door.
To work, to learn, to get things done
so we can get home to creative fun.
It makes us work hard and strive
so we can keep the dream alive.
We all need a little of that fairy magic,
cos without imagination our lives would be tragic!
