Today I will be in Milton Keynes. We are having a get together as it would have been my Dad`s birthday today. He would have been 80, but we lost him last year before he reached 79. It won`t be a sad time as we will be reminiscing and laughing together over wonderful memories. What could be better. Good food, good company and lot`s of chat and laughter. And you know me, always ready to chat and have a laugh. I suspect the laughter will be fuelled with the odd glass of wine too. Not sure if we will put up a sky lantern this time as it was a bit traumatic last year.. It did seem to take it`s time to fill with hot air, maybe I should have breathed into it. Tee Hee. I`m sitting here laughing at the thought. It would have taken off like a rocket then.
Last time it wafted skywards, then lurched towards the neighbouring roof. At the last minute it lifted and skipped over it. Then it seemed to sink down and we panicked thinking it was heading for a rather large tree. But once again at the last minute, it lifted and sailed skywards, much to our relief. We laughed about it afterwards, all convinced it was Dad having a last joke. Have to admit we were all laughing hard in spite of the panic.
Just have to wait and see what happens this year.

Life`s a beach and then you die
that`s not funny, I hear you sigh.

I`m not just being a twit.
A sunny Sunday is a day for the beach,
I know sunny is a bit of a reach.
Playing in the sand is lot`s of fun
weary and happy when the day is done.
Playing games and running around
lot`s of sand to be found.
Lying back with a good read,
am I sowing the right seed?

or would you rather sit and brood.
