Lavenders #FolksyFriday

The first Folksy Friday of March. I think time needs to slow down now, it`s whizzing by faster and faster. Here we go for another Lavender blog and this time from Folksy. There were some crossover shops selling the same as on yesterdays blog so I avoided those to keep the variety going.
There are similarities of course you would expect that with the subject matter being Lavender. Lavender scented items are very popular now especially with today`s busy lifestyles. The smell opf lavender is very relaxing. Dried lavender is used in sleep pillows to aid restful sleep and in sachets of all types and sizes to scent your cupboards and drawers.
I use lavender myself to help me relax and sleep better. A scented pillow or a couple of drops of the oil onto the pillow are wonderful and very relaxing. It`s very important not too use too much though as used to excess it can give you a headache, which is surprising as it can also help to relieve headaches.
I had my youngest grandson yesterday and for once he wasn`t inclined to rush off out. He decided to have a second breakfast and then a play on the Wii after we`d batted balloons around for a while. When he`d had enough of that I suggested we go and visit his Aunty which he was all for. Her house is still undergoing renovation and quite fascinating for a small boy, although only one room still looks like a builders yard now.
He enjoyed himself examining everything and then we had lunch before returning home.
As usual, to see a bigger picture or a description, just click on the item to view it in the shop.
ENJOY!!!

Lavender is a plant and flower
that has very much smelling power.
Pungent, potent and divine
it`s quite a favourite of mine.
The colour is a perfect shade
purple so it`s appeal doesn`t fade.
It has a beautiful scent
that is especially meant
to help people to relax
after living life to the max.
Get the oil that is pure
and it will be a perfect cure
for the headache that pounds
caused by 21st century sounds.
In a sachet it can scent a drawer
or be hung behind a wardrobe door.
It`s a wonderful plant that we relish
even using it`s likeness to embellish!!
