Going a bit Dotty.. #Etsy

This was done as a treasury first as part of the Crafty Folk team treasury making competition. If you recall I was picked the other week, then I chose a winner from all the wonderful treasuries created. That person then picked an item from their shop, Flo Nightingales, and treasuries were made around that creation. Flo then selected her winning treasury and the curator was Dawn of `Lilly`s Night Garden`.
Dawn`s bio says she has been crafting from an early age, trying many different crafts until a workshop had her discovering her favourite of all the crafting mediums. Alcohol inks and distress inks. Her shop is a testament to her passions and definitely worth browsing. You may be a while...
It was tricky deciding what to choose as a theme. The first picture is of the notecards chosen as her selected item.
There were already several treasuries done around various themes and I wanted to do something different. So rather than focussing on the retro, colour or hair aspect I picked out the background which is of course large dots. Hence the theme.
Yesterday morning, I got up expecting rain and was surprised to find it dry, brilliant. Out went the washing. Got busy on the computer and time flew as it always does and when I next looked up it was raining. I thought about leaving it out in case it passed but decided to get it in anyway. Good job I did because after that the heavens opened and it thundered down for hours.
When it finally stopped I took my 3 yr old grandson for a trip on the bus. He`d been hoping to go so we had a bus ride, lunch in the city and came home again. Just in time too as it started to rain yet again as we reached home.
As usual, to see a bigger picture or a description, just click on the item to view it in the shop.
ENJOY!!!

It started off making little dots
and they soon grew into spots.
Yes, you guessed it`s the rain
come pouring down yet again.
First it was just pitter patter
then the drops grew, got fatter.
The sky was all over dark grey
yet another miserable day.
If this is what`s called FLAMIN` June
it just cannot finish too soon.
All I want is a bit more sun
preferably before the summer is done.
Is it really too much to ask.
Mother Nature is it too big a task?
On the plus side it`s all very green
much better than I`ve ever seen.
Everything is growing so fast
but will my flowers be able to last
against this constant onslaught
that I think really ought
to be ending right this minute
because the summer season is finite.
We all need a bit of summer sun
so we can have lots of summer fun!!
