Stars #FolksyFriday

Looking at the stars the other night I started to make up some verse, just a few lines, that I wrote down. Then I looked at them again and a few more lines were added and made me decide to do stars as a theme for my Folksy Friday. I imagine I have done stars at some point or other but cannot recall when. I could probably scroll down and look for past titles but there are so many now that it would take far more time than I have to spare. So I`m happy to go with it being a long while, if ever, since I had Stars as a theme.
I put Stars into the search box on Folksy and came up with a lot, over 100 pages. That`s a lot of items to look through. I tend to skim quickly until something catches my eye then I`ll pause to look closer. I do like to keep as much variety as possible as I think it makes for a more interesting blog, for me to do and you to read.
Busy day yesterday. Had to go into the city for some things I needed, my least favourite task. I think it probably ranks very low, like ironing. Not really sure what would be lower... I`m digressing. The only time I want to go into the city is when I need yarn. You would probably say that with my vast stocks I shouldn`t ever need yarn and theoretically you should be right. There is however always the odd time when you get asked to make something and for some reason don`t have that particular shade or even colour at all. And you know me always happy to buy more. Although at the minute I am buying beads. Have bought some and am looking for more.
Note to self: Really must try and restrain myself.
Today I am off to Milton Keynes to visit family for the weekend. I`m really looking forward to it and although I will miss the computer, it is more of a break without it. I shall get lots of new creations made.
As usual, to see a bigger picture or a description, just click on the item to view it in the shop.
ENJOY!!!

Twinkle twinkle little star
how I wonder what you are.
You`ve seen so very much
though you`re to far away to touch.
How do you make the colours I see,
are they there just for me?
You sparkle and glitter so bright
so beautiful for such a tiny light.
I stand and stare at the dark blue,
a velvet canopy that surrounds you.
There are so many stars up on high
but you`re the brightest in the sky.
Tell me please what have you seen
and I want to know where have you been.
This universe is so very vast
it seems to be made to last.
We reach upwards toward the stars
write books about Venus and Mars.
We have a need to explore
to learn and find out more.
We want to colonise planets far away
and I believe we will some day.
The stars they have a sparkling allure
exploration and travel the only cure!!
