New Year Nutters #Handmade #Folksy

I was looking through all the listings on the January listing club on Folksy, busily adding some to my Pinterest Boards and promoting others. We all do this as it is part of the listing club ideals that we do so. It`s to do with community spirit and supporting each other. But I am digressing here. What I started to say was that looking through the listings on the thread for the listing club made me decide to do another New Year Nutters blog. There are so many fabulous crafts appearing daily that I could easily spend a fortune and fill my home with them.
Many times I have bought something that is to be a gift and then been unable to part with it because it is so gorgeous. It can be difficult to really tell what something is like just from photos, but I have to say that with all the things I have bought the reality is so much better than the pictures, hence the being unable to part with them.
So if you are dithering over something, take a leap of faith, I`m sure you won`t be disappointed. I haven`t been yet. I now prefer to buy handmade as the quality is so much better than mass produced and you get something that is totally original.
Yesterday.... let me think.... a bit of housework, some food shopping and most of the day updating my website. A lengthy task but worthwhile if only for the satisfaction of a job well done. Still got some more to do but I am pleased with the progress as the lions share of the work is done. Yay!!
My older daughter popped in with her hubby and the youngest two grandchildren for a brief visit and it was lovely to see them. Then my grandaughter came in with her duvet and pillow, plus her overnight bag as she had been at a sleepover. Her parents had popped out so she came in to me instead for a little while. It was lovely to see her too. She was quite tired but if I had a social life as busy as hers I would be exhausted.
Okay enough waffle, time to rhyme. What about I have no idea as yet.
As usual, to see a bigger picture or a description, just click on the item to view it in the shop.
ENJOY!!!

Twinkling stars in a velvet sky,
a beautiful moon up on high.
They see the years come and go,
always putting on a glorious show.
I can`t help but stand and stare
and wonder what else is out there.
There`s more than us in the universe.
Would meeting others be a blessing or curse?
We look at the stars and want more,
a need that comes from the very core.
As technology shrinks our world each day,
we look upward and feel the urge to play
and explore out there, somewhere new
because as humans, it`s what we do.
In our lives we like to learn
it can be a need, a fast burn,
a search for knowledge and to know
everything that can make us grow.
To learn is to expand our skill
and ultimately this will
help us to expand our life
and lift us above the every day strife.
Becuase to do what we love and love what we do
is always the goal for me and you!
