HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

I would like to wish you all a very Happy New Year and I hope it is everything that you wish for.
Thank you to all those that regularly come to visit my blog, I assure you that your support is very much appreciated. I really appreciate any and all visitors that stop by as knowing folks come, for whatever reason, makes all the time and effort worthwhile.
A new daily listing club is starting from today they are called the `New Year Nutters`, quite appropriate I think. Natalie of NOfkants Curios will once more be head Nutter. So a big THANK YOU to Natalie for all the continued time, effort and hard work you put in to keep us all going. Thank you for all your time and efforts for the Advent Artisans in December too.
I have included some items from the last day of the Advent Artisans, although it kind of dwindled down due to the holidays and life taking over I expect.
I find a New Year exciting with it`s wealth of possibilities ahead. This year too there is something different in the air. A much bigger air of change. Knowledge, that by the end of it, we will all be changed in some way.
I expect you`ve all heard the rumours... about the world ending? Even children say the world is ending in 2012. When my grandchildren mentioned it I told them it was a load of rubbish and explained that all this was because of the Mayan calender ending. Then I asked them where they were supposed to end it. For a primitive people to make a calender the length they did and with so many accurate predictions, was nothing short of miraculous, but it had to finish at some point.
I think that this year will be a year of big change for many. I`ve watched over the last few years as many people have realised that their power is being eroded by governments and big companies. They have woken up to their responsibilities and each in their own way have started to do their bit. Do you recycle, then you too are doing your bit to help the planet. Do you buy handmade? Then you too are helping to do your bit. Many people now take bags shopping with them. Yes it`s a small thing but it helps. Many won`t buy prepackaged fruit and veg anymore. It`s sending a message to say, we aren`t prepared to put up with what you do to it to extend the shelf life or the excess packaging. Small shops are starting to appear again and locals are supporting them. All these are small things but they grow and put together make a massive difference, to us and the planet.
Okay lecture over.
Whatever you do this year, I hope it is better and more prosperous than the last one in every way.
Yesterday we took down the Christmas decorations. It`s a job that`s usually done on New Years day but somehow I wanted the New Year to come in with everything cleared away this time. Didn`t really do a lot at all yesterday apart from that.
A little pampering session, preparing this blog early so I could enjoy the festivities, crocheting and a lot of housework, that`s it. I bet right now you are envying this exciting life I lead.
Oooops again. Didn`t mean to run on that much but it`s done now, could be undone but I won`t.
As usual, to see a bigger picture or a description, just click on the item to view it in the shop.
ENJOY!!!

A bright and shiny New year.
Has yours passed without a tear?
A tear for those that are gone
whether a few or just the one.
A time to let the past go
and move into a forward flow.
Some think the world will end
I say it`s time for us to bend.
To make the momentous move
and vow to be better and improve.
A year that will see a great shift
and for many will bring the lift
that they need to properly thrive
and really live and feel alive.
Time for people to be seen and heard
for many to hear the new word.
That word is all about love
and with caring, goes hand in glove.
Materialism will be a thing of the past
and many will say a big `at last`.
Change is coming in a big wave
and we will no longer be a slave
to big corporations running the world
as people power is gradually unfurled.
One person and step at a time,
it starts slowly like this rhyme
and gradually it builds up speed
until it spreads and becomes great in deed!
