Penguins #FolksyFriday

Thought about doing hedgehogs today but couldn`t find enough, so I put penguins into the search and came up with lot`s of great penguins. They looked so cute that I couldn`t resist and decided that my Folksy Friday would be penguins. Yay!!
Who would believe there could be so many? Hope you enjoy them as much as I do.
Yesterday was a very successful day although wasn`t sure how it would go at the start. First was getting hubby into the city for longer than 5 minutes to find a suit for our daughters wedding in Februaury. At 9.10 a.m he was saying if we hurry up we could be home by 9.30. Oh dear, that didn`t bode well.
We got into the city quite quickly and into the car park easily, very little traffic about, which was very good. Then we had a look in the first men`s outfitters we saw and BINGO he saw two he liked. He tried on the first but I wasn`t keen, thought it looked too pale. The second one was perfect. Fitted exactly right and looked great. Then he wandered around and found a lovely tie and that was it he was all set. A huge sigh of relief from me. That was him done and off he went home.
I went off to the bank to sort out fraudulent use of one of my cards. That was soon sorted as they had refused most of them as being unusual usage. Easy peasy.
Then I met my younger daughter and we were on a mission to get my outfit. Into Debenhams, up to their Designer floor. Sales everywhere, brilliant. We walked the entire floor picking up everything I liked as we went and then arrived at the changing room. Bad news there.... a longish queue. Hadn`t been there many minutes when a helpful lady came along and said she had one room for use so we followed her quickly. Now that was more like it.
We had followed the personal shopper and were led into a great sitting room with comfy chairs and a changing cubicle too. They coudn`t have been more helpful and it turned shopping into a great experience. I ended up with three dresses, one of which was for the wedding with a matching handbag. Then it was onto the shoes. Again so easy, my daughter spotted them, I tried them on, a perfect fit and comfortable and an excellent match. We were on a roll. Nearby was a selection of fascinators, again found a perfect colour match and it looked great. That was me done. I was over the moon.
My daughter found some bridesmaids dresses and lovely jewellery for them and a pair of work shoes too.
Then it was coffee and home. A very successful day with both of us happy.
Ooops, didn`t mean to waffle that much, but never mind.
As usual, to see a bigger picture or a description, just click on the item to view it in the shop.
ENJOY!!!

Penguins are so very cute
and look lovable, to boot.
I found alot, to my great delight
and I think they look a wonderful sight.
Some cute, some funny, others majestic
but they all look fantastic.
A bag that`s a great tote,
that certainly has my vote.
A beautiful woven rug
that looks wonderfully snug.
Art and a card or two
designed especially for you.
Stained glass for your window,
now I`m getting into the flow.
Cake topper, pattern and a bookmark,
oh, this is quite a lark.
Earrings and a pretty bangle,
penguins from a different angle.
An apron, a cushion, one of stone,
such variety, you can`t moan.
Then there`s painted nails and more,
we have for you penguins galore!

  2. According to several sources there is no generally accepted collective noun for penguins, but in common usage are a rookery or a raft amongst others.
