The Advent of Xmas #Handmade #Folksy

I started off with one idea and then it changed. Ooops. I had intended to put the December listing club on here today but got caught up looking at different things and just adding as I went along. It did end up looking very christmassy so I went with that, hope you enjoy it.
With the weather getting so cold everywhere and snow in places many people are now turning to thoughts of christmas and realising how little time there is left, less than three weeks now. Really must get my Christmas cards bought and think about writing them.
I was away over the weekend visiting family. It was great to catch up with everyone and there were lots of laughs and lots of chatting, right up my street.
While travelling and all the time I was there I was busy crocheting as always. I came up with a new idea of doing a pattern and have to say it looked very effective. I made a hat and a scarf in the new patterning and as soon as they are photographed I shall be listing them. I also made three pairs of fingerless mitts. I was asked to make one pair but I get carried away once I start. So I made a longer pair that goes further up the arm and two shorter pairs. I found a lovely pale grey yarn flecked with a darker grey that was 75% acrylic and 25% wool and really lovely to the touch. I also found a darker grey acrylic that feels oh so soft too. So I did a darker grey and black pair, then a longer and shorter pair in the light grey fleck and black. I was pleased with the way they came out too.
Oooops waffling again.

ENJOY and have FUN!!

Frost sparkling in the moonlight,
glittering like diamonds in the night.
A velvet night, a canopy of stars,
could one of those be Mars?
Who are we and why are we here?
Questions asked for many a year.
The vastness of the vista brings us up short
and makes us stare lost in thought.
Mankind has asked questions for 1,000s of years
and many to do with nameless fears.
We all want to know so very much,
but sadly so many have lost touch
with their deep innerself, the part that knows
so much and keeps us within natures flows.
Now though the time is coming
many hear the call, the humming.
Many feel the power and force
as nature fights back as a matter of course.
We all need to say, enough is enough,
it`s time for us all to get tough!
