NO!! Inspiration has struck. I was looking at the front page on Folksy and saw the stunning cuff, the 1st listing, amongst the new listings. I clicked on it and that was it, I was hooked. Leather I decided was the way to go. Have never done a leather blog, not quite sure why, so today is the day for it. I have of course had leather goods on here before but not displayed as a theme.
I did wonder how much I would find and assumed it would be all bags, belts and purses. Imagine my delight, to find such a stunning array to choose from, I couldn`t believe my luck. Who knew that I would find such beautiful leather jewellery too? I was highly delighted with the diversity I uncovered. You would think that by now I would have some idea of the variety available, but no, each time I decide on a new theme and search for items to follow the theme I am surprised by the quality and quantity of goods available. Considering all of this and then adding in the great prices I am amazed that anyone ever buys mass produced products anymore.
I was very pleased to come home from work to a sale, especially as that sale was followed by another. I will be preparing those for posting today so they go in the post tomorrow.
I finished a hat in a sparkly purple yarn. I used two strands of double knit dark purple with a lurex thread running through it and made a bowler style hat. I was really pleased with the way it turned out and will probably make a few more in different colours. I am also working on a cream hat that will have ear flaps for extra warmth but haven`t yet decided quite how I will do those. Once I get to that point the rest will just flow, fingers crossed.
Here I am waffling on a again, when you want to be getting to the good bit.

What should I do today?
I went for a wander to play
among the new goods for sale
where inspiration strikes without fail.
It struck and didn`t let me down
I didn`t have to grump and frown.
There it was for all to see
the one thing that called to me.
A creation of amazing beauty
that was my treasure booty.
Leather with art so stunning,
that it had me running
to the search to look for more
and there it was, goods galore.
Bags and cases for the phone
that put me right in the zone.
An amazing buckle for a belt
and right there I felt
this was perfect and such fun,
I couldn`t stop till this was done.
A belt with camper vans.
Is this just a man`s?
Jewellery so gorgeous, is it real?
Oh yes it`s the real deal.
Make up bag, and a sketch book,
all are worth a second look.
Wallets for cards and purses too,
all of these made just for you.
