Poppies #Handmade #Folksy

I was having a look round the forums and saw a thread on poppies. Now lot`s of people will be buying poppies for Remembrance Day, so I thought why not show Poppies today. Not just poppies to wear, but all sorts of poppies on crafts.
I do know that quite a few sellers donate part or all of the profits from their wearable poppies to charity. The charity donated to will be on the description in case you prefer it to go to a particular charity.
Besides the reason for having them, at this time of year, I think poppies are bright and colourful and quite cheery, so after a very grey, dull day yesterday I think a bit of brightness is just what we need.
Hubby finished a new Shelf he had been making yesterday for our youngest grandson. A while back he made him a `Digger` bed as he loves them and tractors etc. Now his parents have been decorating the room and thought it would be nice if he had a shelf to match, with his name on too.
I was very impressed with it, thought it looked great and wondered if he would make more to go on the website. Apparently this is a possibility.
Here are a couple of pics. These of course don`t have the name on them as yet. I will take a couple of photos when the shelf is on the wall for you to see. If I remember I will take a pic of the bed too. All made in Ecofriendly strawboard and painted with Eco paint, of course.

Over the years he has made quite a variety of shelves for children. He made a Dalek for our older grandson. A Football pitch with three shelves for a nephew and A Sailing Boat and an Octopus for friends of our daughter. Probably more but I can`t recall them all. That`s besides the ones on the Great Green Dreams website.

I too was busy. Did a whole load of housework!!! I know, but it had to be done. I`m glad I got it all done. I also got some pics taken. I wanted to put the purple hat in the shop that I had finished and just couldn`t wait, so I was out there early, in the garden in my dressing gown, taking pics. It was listed yesterday. Yay!! Can`t put it on here as it doesn`t fit the theme today.
As usual, to see a bigger picture or a description, just click on the item to view it in the shop.
ENJOY!!!

The horizon was a dusky rose,
now with oranges it glows.
So much beauty and all free
why not stop and gaze like me.
Now across the land a golden glow
tendrils of light, creeping so slow,
into to every crevice and crack,
giving light where it does lack.
Everywhere glistening so bright
in this early morning light.
A frost of glittering white
is such a beautiful sight.
So often we don`t even see
as on our busy way we flee
rushing always here and there
missing delights so fair.
So stop a moment and drink your fill
of nature`s delight, if you will!
