September Embers

I think it`s got quite a ring to it, September Embers. It`s great to be back as part of the listing club but also strange too. I had got out tof the habit of doing all the things associated with it, now I have to get back in the routine again. Anything always takes longer when you either, haven`t done it before, or you`ve had a longish break.
In a way it`s like making something entirely new. As I don`t use patterns the first of any new style is always the hardest and takes the longest. Probably takes longer than it needs to because if I`m not 100% happy with it, then I start again.
But I am digresing, shocking I know!!! What me? .... as if.
September Embers listing club is off to a great start. Sales rolling in already and absolutely loads of participants, which is of course extremely good as it provides far more diversity. People are already buying presents for Christmas mainly because it is easier to spread it out over a period of time than do it all at once, especially if you have a lot to get. I think that also those who buy handmade regularly realise that if they miss out on that perfect gift they aren`t likely to see it again. Something similiar maybe, but not that style and colour combination together.
My poncho is getting on like a house on fire, I`m loving it and quite excited about they way it is turning out. I have decided to do it all in one piece now, well front and back at least. I worked out how to do the neck and now I`m on the way down the back. Can`t wait for it to be finished. I am babysitting tonight so will get to spend longer than usual crocheting in the evening. Woo hoo.....
As usual, to see a bigger picture or a description, just click on the item to view it in the shop.
Have a SPREEE!!!

Today we have the Embers,
the beginning of Septembers
daily listing club,
no please don`t blub.
I think it is a great name
and the listing clubs a great game
for all of us taking part
and it`s made a great start.
A pretty trinket box, a jotter too
and theses are only a few.
A cape, cufflinks and a necklace,
don`t hold back, be reckless.
A stunning pic, votives and star,
now you see where we are.
Christmas tags and a card,
choosing is really hard.
Heart coasters and a skirt,
no, don`t stop to flirt!
Stay focussed now on these delights,
they make such wonderful sights.
A quilt, a purse and a hat,
now who could resist that.
Those cute baby ballerina shoes
are sure to get lot`s of views.
And the very last, not least,
an ending to this crafting feast.
A collar and a scarf by me
now I`ve rejoined the club you see.
All I can say is `don`t hold back`,
else that special gift you`ll lack.
Maybe you want a treat for yourself
be quick these will soon fly off the shelf!!
