Kind of Cute #Handmade #Folksy

I saw some things that didn`t fit into the cute and cuddly range but still were kind of cute. I wondered for a while what I could categorise them as to include in a theme but nothing sprung to mind. I decided that I would include them anyway and came across more, so I decided this blog would be Kind of Cute. There are cute and cuddly items too. Hope you enjoy them as much as I do.
I went to see the tax people to clarify what to do for my tax and feel less worried about it now. Yay!! It had been playing on my mind quite a bit. But now I have a better idea and will sort it out as soon as I am back off holiday. I do need to get all the blogs sorted for next week so that you lovely folk will have something different to see each day. There won`t be alot of waffle but I promise to make up for it when I am back.
Parcels are all posted. I have started a set of festive coasters and almost finished another festive mug cosy. This one has a snowman on the front, just for something different.
The high winds yesterday remind me a lot of the horrendous day we had about 4 years ago. It took me 9 hours to get home from Milton Keynes and was a bit of a nightmare. The general camaradie of people travelling though was amazing. chatting, swapping stories, updating each other on the latest news etc. It was certainly a `people at their best` day.
Todays verse is a poem I wrote for a poets group about that storm.
As usual, to see a bigger picture or a description, just click on the item to view it in the shop.
Have FUN and ENJOY!!!

The day of the horrific storm,
I have to say, it wasn`t warm.
I was travelling on the train
so didn`t care if there was rain.
The wind had started blowing,
at least it wasn`t snowing.
Didn`t seem that bad at all
just a bit of a squall.
But elsewhere it was worse,
was making people curse.
Things were blowing on the line
it cetainly wasn`t fine.
We stopped, started and waited
I knew the journey was ill fated.
In London folk were everywhere
waiting and standing to stare.
Watching the board for their train
fearing it would be cancelled again.
I got on the last train out of there,
I`d waited a while, to be fair.
The next journey was just as slow
as the wind continued to blow.
Greenhouses, sheds and more
were all lying on the floor.
The track kept being cleared
being stuck was what we feared.
But eventually I got back
felt like I`d been on the rack.
The worst train journey of my life,
that had been filled with endless strife.
People were great, helping each other
chatting as though there was no bother.
People are at their very best
when they are put to the test!
