Crafts #Handmade #Folksy

General crafts today, anything that caught my eye to have a nice mixture on here. Don`t know about everyone else but I tend to look at things now as prospective Christmas presents. I like to try and get everything sorted out with time to spare, then I can concentrate on everything else.
I`ve also been looking for something for my brothers 60th birthday at the end of this month and after talking to his wife I know what I am getting for him. It will of course be from Folksy.
Regular visitors will have seen the gorgeous Albums and Keepsake boxes from Dottie Designs on here. I have bought a few from her now and they are amazing. If you think they look great in the picture you won`t be able to believe it when they arrive, just stunning. Well as my brother likes photo albums I shall order a personalised one from Dottie Designs. Yay that`s me sorted. I am quite safe telling all of you as he hasn`t quite mastered facebook yet and rarely ventures further, I`m not sure if he knows what a blog is yet. Although to be fair I`d never been on Facebook or seen a blog until I started a shop on Folksy last year.
Yesterday I was busy, after housework, yuk, I was finishing mittens. As a pair have been ordered at work I wanted to take a few of them in and show her so that I can keep the ones she wants to one side. Don`t want to put them on the shop and they get sold, not good.
I also did some knitting with the big needles, that I started the day before, I was trying out a few things. Quite like the way thats going, still not sure what its going to be yet, but I`m sure it will morph into something. It`s fun trying out different things, makes it a bit of an adventure when I don`t know what it will be.

An autumn day that starts bright
is a truly wonderful sight.
Better still the day warms fast
and it no longer feels summer is past.
For now we have a brief respite
from the thought of winter white.
An indian summer so they say
brings us back out for summer play.
Chilly days move away once again,
the clouds go too, no more rain.
It`s good to hold the winter at bay,
even if, for only one more day.
Where did summer go I ask?
It vanished as I did each task.
So busy, busy all day long,
months have passed it seems so wrong.
But looking back is not for me,
I prefer to look forward you see.
Every day is a new adventure,
as I advance on this fun venture!
