A-listers Finale #Handmade #Folksy

The last day of the month so I think today I will do an A-listers blog. For those that don`t know this is the daily listing club on Folksy that has been running since April 2010. Each month they have a different name and challenge themselves to list at least one item a day. This is a personal challenge rather than a necessity. They support each other through high`s and lows and help promote each others items. A nice community minded club to be a part of.
I joined in September last year with my shop UniquelyYours and found it very helpful as a person new to online selling. I`m sure I sold far more than I would have done otherwise, being part of the club. I have had 2 months off to prepare for the season ahead and in that time have managed to launch my website too.
Yesterday I got round to having a good sort out of cupboards, finding places for things that didn`t have homes and I went through all my stock to make sure it matched up to the listings currently in shops and website. It did, but I also found, as I thought that I had several items that weren`t listed anywhere. So that is another task to get done. I have also been preparing items in draft ready for the start of Septembers listing club which I shall be a part of.
I am moving ahead with my poncho that I am making and am pleased with the way it is turning out so far. I shall have to try and take some photos of the progress I`m making. At the minute I am using thre different yarns and am thinking of introducing a fourth but as yet I haven`t decided that for definite.
As usual, to see a bigger picture or a description, just click on the item to view it in the shop.
ENJOY!!!

Now that August is so nearly done
we`ve come to the end of the A-listers fun.
The month of August is quite long
how fast it`s gone seems so wrong.
It signals that summer is at the end,
enough to drive us all round the bend.
How can the summer go so fast
so quickly a memory in the past.
Now comes Autumn with early morning chill,
time to wrap up soon, I know I will.
Spiders webs on hedges glittering,
while folk pass by wittering,
never noticing how they sparkle and shine,
twinkling like diamonds, looking so fine.
Autumn brings mists and falling leaves,
time to get out those long sleeves.
Staying dark later in the morning,
longer to wait for the day dawning.
Nights too start pulling in,
isn`t that a terrible sin.
Then it`ll be time for heating,
and our pockets will take a beating.
But there`ll be cosy nights by the fire,
flickering flames to help inspire,
new creations for the new season,
can`t think of a better reason!

I can't believe the summer is almost over. But Autumn is my favourite season so I'm already looking forward to the early morning chills and falling leaves that you mention in your poem.
