Glorious Wood. #Handmade #Folksy

Wednesday, Hmm.... Now what can we have today I wonder.
Been off and had a look. I`ve decided to have wood as a theme for today. There are so many fabulous wood creations. Great ideas for gifts or to have in your own home. There is also fabulous wooden jewellery, unbelievably gorgeous, all with the natural warmth of wood. I love wood, especially when you can see the grain and it is smooth and polished. It justs looks gorgeous and really draws people to it.
My hubby made a beautiful bowl from a selection of Yew Wood that our daughters got him for Fathers Day. Everyone who sees it automatically reaches out to touch it and they love the feel of it. I love it too. If I get the chance I`ll take a pic and put it on here to show you.
Had a lovely day yesterday with my daughter, savouring the time together before she heads back tomorrow. For me there is nothing better than family. I am fortunate to have my older daughter and husband, living just around the corner from me with the four grandchildren, so I get to see lot`s of them.
I have actually been doing some finishing. No, not button sewing, but crocheting ties. If you could see the size of the `to finish` pile, you would agree that it`s better than nothing. I shall have to start having a count up to see if I am anywhere near my goal of having enough to list each day for 3 months. Some of my new things were bought before they ever made it onto the shop or web site which is good but also means I have less to add. I`m sure I must be getting at least half way there by now. There is quite a big pile waiting to be photographed, another heap to be added to the website in advance of the winter season and listing on Folksy.
I`ll stop waffling now.
As usual, to see a bigger picture or a description, just click on the item to view it in the shop.
ENJOY!!!

When we cease to dream and strive,
we are no longer truly alive.
We are humans struggling to live
and learning the need to give.
We dream our dreams and fly
so high up in the sky.
The sky is the limit so they say
but thats not true anymore today.
We have the ability to go farther
and without getting in a lather.
So many people, they realise now,
they don`t just sit and mop their brow,
They know there is so much more
if they only step out the door.
Life is short and it`s for living
living much better, if we are giving.
Sharing our lives, helping others,
knowing they are our sisters and brothers.
We are all connected in every way
everyone will know it`s true someday.
More are waking to who they are
and these are the ones that will go far!
