BanK Holiday Bonanza #Handmade #Folksy

I think we`ll have a random day today for the Bank Holiday. For those that don`t know, this means I am going to have a wander and add anything that catches my eye. I always do try to vary the creations you see here as I think variety is better and more interesting. Also there should be pretty much something to appeal to everyone.
Yesterday I visited my Mother in Law who has been unwell, but seems to be improving a little now. I also did some of that dreaded stuff... housework... not much though.
I also started a poncho. Inspired by one I saw that was a summer one, I decided yesterday to have a go at a winter one. Except.... I decided it would be a bit different. Having been experimenting with different textures and yarns, I have decided to do the same with this. I intend to make it in four sections and haven`t decided whether it will be four different colour themes or just two. I have no idea how it will turn out, but it will be fun having a go. If it turns out the way I envisage it should be amazing. Fun, funky and warm. Yay!! Watch this space.

From here to there and back again
will I be able to stay sane.
Always so very much to do
as well as making things for you.
A Bank holiday? It isn`t for me
trying to get so much done you see.
Surrounded by glorious yarn balls
my crochet hook really calls.
But discipline is the thing
though it won`t make my heart sing.
Stay focussed and get some work done first
even though I want to create till I burst.
Reward comes after the work is done,
then it will be time to have fun.
Mixing and matching and digging out more,
crocheting like mad till my finger is sore.
Then sewing or knitting to change the pace,
why does it feel like I`m in a race.
My design should stand out from the crowd
but I don`t want it to be noisy and loud.
Tasteful and luscious will be just right,
I`m hoping it will be a wonderful sight.
I`d like to wear it on my holiday,
when I go to Switzerland to stay!
