#Funny at Folksy

I spotted this thread on the forums at Folksy called `An ode to a Crafter`. As it had verse on it I had to add a bit too and more was added afterwards. I thought it was quite funny and decided to share it with you along with some of the fabulous creations of the authors.
Just something a bit different, nice to have a laugh over something. Hope you enjoy it too.
Have also added a few items that caught my eye on Folksy along with a couple from me.
Went to a big family meal yesterday to celebrate my nephew becoming 21. I just can`t believe he is 21 already. The years have just flown by and now he is an adult. It just seems so wrong mainly because it means I am getting so much older too.
The meal was lovely and it was nice to catch up too. We all sang a very loud Happy Birthday to him in the restaurant, as you do, for maximum embarrassment. It was all good fun.
With an hours journey each way I got lots of crocheting done too, a bonus.
As usual, to see a description or bigger picture, just click on the item to view it in the shop.
Have FUN and ENJOY!!!

SPYTE DESIGN
There was a crafter from the UK
who was hoping for a good day
roamed the internet she did
for that elusive sale or bid
but ended up just about OK

Me
Everything is going slow
what happened to the crafting flow?
No more pics, got some to take
my worst job, for goodness sake.
The sales fairy has been a bit slack
am wondering when she will be back.
Sometimes its a lonely time
now I`m making it up for the rhyme.
Running out of things to say,
I`ll come back later in the day

I love when poetry like this appears,
a funny jingle can heal your fears,
Try Edward Lear his work is great!
I think he’s the funniest poet to date.

For creative souls like you and I,
when we’re so flustered we want to cry,
I suggest not pills but try an ode,
and lose yourself on the poetry road

Me
Writing an ode is always best
just give those pills a rest.
They`ll make you go cross-eyed
then your needle will go wide.
Then what will you turn out
something weird, you`ll hear us shout.
So no pills and no booze,
cos then you`ll want to snooze.
So when you want to cry
just give a great big sigh.
then pin a smile in place
and you`ll have on your happy face

The Bead Bounty.
I really have to say I think
your clever with your verses
and face it
it is better than stamped foots
and saying “curses”
if you can take a breath or two
and leave the pills and liquor
keep a clear head
stay out of bed
you may even get a flicker
of marvelous inspiration
that will keep you on your toes
with happy thoughts and smiles and laughs
stopping you being morose
you may even make your best piece yet
for the poshest shop or fair
and you may even make your million
by this time next year
