Fish #Handmade #Folksy

Not sure what to do today. Might just go for random as we have had several themes on the trot. Yep, that works for me.
Changed my mind. I had a look at the Folksy front page and saw lots of fish on display. Those creations looked great, so then I put fish into the search box and there were over a hundred pages, so fish it is. I would never have thought of fish as theme if I hadn`t seen them there, amazing!
Anyway, had a busy day at work yesterday and a few calls after I got home that distracted me. I checked e-mails to find my followers on twitter had grown amazingly for some reason, seem to have gained about 40 followers during the day. Not sure what I`m doing right but I hope it continues.
Chatted to my daughter in Switzerland at the weekend too which was lovely. Technology can be wonderful, great to be able to see her as well as chat. When they first got there, she took her laptop on a tour around her flat so I could see it all, very cool.
Today I will be looking after the grandchildren while my daughter is at work and we are going to have a go at making a Pinata. It should be wonderfully messy involving paper, flour and water glue and a balloon and thats just for starters. Will need to check the blog it was on to remind myself how to do it. The children are looking forward to it, well all of them apart from the 2 yr old who doesn`t really know yet what we are doing. I suspect he will enjoy the messiness of it all. My daughter says she is glad not to be there. Hmm.... Am I going to regret this?
I`ll tell you tomorrow how it went.
As usual, to see a bigger picture or a description, just click on the item to view it in the shop.
ENJOY!!!

What do you think of fish?
Do you like it as a lovely dish?
A tasty treat for supper,
to put your mood on the upper?
Maybe you like to go fishing
and now I suppose you`re wishing,
to be fishing by river or sea
and thinking of it with glee.
I wouldn`t mind just sitting there
although I might get bored, to be fair.
I couldn`t see the fish on a hook
that would be cruel in my book.
But I do like them to eat
I find they are a tasty treat.
So contrary, I also find them pretty
some even look quite starnge and witty.
Now tropical fish are so divine
I`d like to make some mine.
A big full tank bubbling away
I could sit and stare all day.
Different fish all swimming around
mesmerising me without a sound!

  1. What a great poem & what amazing fishy items you have found on Folksy! I love fish & eat some everyday. I especially like tinned mackerel and I read somewhere that eating lots of fish makes you clever. It's not worked for me yet but I live in hope!!
