Balloons #Handmade #Folksy

Seeing a hot air balloon hanging in the sky early one morning had me writing verse. It just looked so odd. It seemed so huge and close and I wasn`t sure if it was landing or taking off.
Over the next few days I kept adding to the verse and then I wondered if there would be much with balloons on Folksy. So off I trotted for a look and put balloons into the search and up popped a few pages, well 11 actually. Quite a few were cards at the start so I didn`t think I would find enough variety to put on here and then after a bit I found some treasures. I do like to put a variety of goodies on here so it doesn`t get boring. Otherwise you would be clicking on here, then a quick glance would have you fleeing. Okay maybe that is a touch melodramatic but you know what I mean.
After a grey, chilly start yesterday, the weather improved quite a lot and even got warmer. My daughter and son in law popped round in the afternoon with the 4 children and I even had a bounce on the trampoline with the little ones. Got another scarf finished and a collar started and a hat half done. The hat then joined other things in a bag of items needing to be finished. Can`t do them just yet as I am busy having fun trying out different yarns together. While the ideas are flowing I am carrying on with the new creations. By the time i get the chance to do some photographing, hopefully on Wednesday, I should have several things again. Yay!!!!
As usual, to see a bigger picture or a description, just click on the item to view it in the shop.
ENJOY!!!

I saw a great big hot air ballon
I thought it was falling too soon.
It hung really big against the sky
I thought it was about to die.
There I was fresh out of bed
confronted by this ball of red.
I watched it as it began to rise
when it vanished quick, it was no surprise.
So glorious, big and majestic
hanging there it was fantastic.
For a while you wonder how
through the sky they can plough.
The tiny basket hanging below
I could even see the flame glow.
So small to protect you from the ground
sailing along with barely a sound.
Would I be scared? Without a doubt
as the laws of gravity it seems to flout.
It seems to go so very high
as through the sky it does fly.
I don`t like heights at all you see
ballooning wouldn`t be for me!
