Sunday Showcase #Handmade #Folksy

Sunday already. Another week gone, as well as weekend nearly gone. This year is racing by so fast it`s unbelievable. I had a little wander through Folksy and picked out items I found interesting. Each and every day I am constantly amazed by the variety and quality of the crafts displayed even after all these months of seeing them. Until I found Folksy I didn`t realise such amazing treasures existed. Like many people I didn`t know the difference between homemade and handmade. I do now. Handmade are quality creations made by real craftspeople. They create because they love what they do and it shows in the beauty of the individual items they turn out.
I`ve heard alot lately about `craft fairs` where many of the stalls sell cheap imports they pass off as their own work. It doesn`t do those people any credit and doesn`t help the world of crafters who genuinely spend hours toiling over each and every stage of their creations. Enough soap box.
Popped in to see the grandchildren last night and had a look at the garden my 12 yr old grandson has been creating. Everything is growing nicely and he has worked hard on it. He has flowers and vegetables and salad plants all coming along in various stages. I`m very proud of him for deciding to do it and keeping it up. He is very creative in other ways too. He loves to write and his drawing is amazing and improving so much all the time. He`s also a voracious reader, consuming books at a great rate. Don`t tell anyone, but he allowed me to give him a hug and a kiss, a rare thing these days. I usually have to pin him down.
Okay enough waffle, although maybe I should waffle about the other three too, just to be fair... Okay, okay, maybe another day.
As ever, to see a description or a larger picture, just click on the item to view it in the shop.
ENJOY!!

Yesterday the sun was shining,
stuck indoors, I was pining.
Working away all day long
no time for thought or song.
Wanted to think up a rhyme
but there wasn`t any time.
Now I`d like to be funny
can`t think while it`s sunny.
What will appear on here today
haven`t thought, just can`t say.
Now I`ve had a bit of wander through,
found some delectable goodies for you.
On Folksy I browsed and looked around
so many amazing things to be found.
Treasures I unearthed for a showcase
our crafters a really picking up the pace.
Creations that get better and better
Folksy is a real trendsetter.
Where else is there such a fabulous array
of quality crafts every single day.
So roll up, roll up, come and view
these stunning creations, especially for you!!
