Mellow Yellow #Handmade #Folksy

It`s raining, it`s pouring, the old man is snoring,
he went to bed and bumped his head and couldn`t get up in the morning!

Seeing the rain always reminds me of that nursery rhyme. Just had to include it, I couldn`t resist.

Yesterday was grey and wet pretty much all day here in Norfolk. At first it was, great we need the rain badly, but after a while we were fed up with it. It did stop late afternoon, but contrary as always, I was saying `we need more though`.
Because of yesterdays gloom, I have decided to put some sunshine on here today. The other week I saw a thread that said `Show me your yellows` and it looked so bright and cheery that I bookmarked it. Now I`m glad I did as a bit of sunshine is just what we need now. Nice and cheery.
Looking through my shop I realised that I haven`t made anything in yellow. I`m not quite sure why that is and maybe I will have to remedy that. Not just yet though as I already have several projects on the go. Having said that I will probably see some yellow yarn and get ideas on what to do with it. I am going to try very hard not to look though.
Being a miserable day was quite good in one day, I did stay glued to the computer and got on with the new website. Got it pretty much done now, I just need a few more pictures to add and then it can go live. With any luck that should be today.
I did see my youngest grandson and we took him to the supermarket with us. He does love to walk round and help by putting things in the trolley. He is so good, never wanders off and keeps hold of my hand the majority of the time. Quite the little angel. I think they often are though with grandparents, they save all the naughtiness for home. Can`t say I mind that way of things working at all. I have to say he does look like a little cherub with his curls and dimples.
As usual, to see a description or a bigger picture, just click on the item to view it in the shop.
ENJOY!!!!

The grass was dry, had gone all brown,
it was enough to make a gardener frown.
The rain then came with a grey sky,
it was greeted with a happy sigh.
But it carried on all day long
that was too much, it was wrong.
Now, a bit of sun is what we need
and that isn`t said from greed.
We`ve just got used to sun all day
being able to go out and play.
Because it`s grey out, I`ll show you yellow,
that should make us all nice and mellow.
Now that reminds me of a song of old
a time when to wear yellow was bold.
Funny how trends change so much
sometimes I feel out of touch.
Now I`m waffling on again,
you`ll think me not quite sane.
I`m showing yellow because it`s bright
and I think it will be a wonderful sight.
It should cheer us all up a treat
you relax now and take a seat.
Enjoy this brilliant array
of what I`ve chosen to display.
Then off you go and view,
in the shops, items made for you!!
