Heard some lovely news today. My boss and his wife are going to be grandparents for the first time. We were all excited about the news. A baby is such a wonderful gift as well as a responsibility.
Me, I just love babies. I love all the wonderful baby things available nowadays too. When my daughters were born there wasn`t all the wonderful things available that there are today. In those days if you wanted handmade, you had to make it yourself. There weren`t wonderful gifts to give like cakes and bouquets made from items for a baby. They are such amazing and beautiful gifts to give. Then of course there are so many things for the nursery now too, like bunting, another good idea and so pretty and colourful. Then there are the clothes and shawls and blankets too. I didn`t realise just how much was available, I barely skimmed the surface. I think I may have to do a few more Baby blogs in the coming weeks if only to showcase these beautiful items. The cards available too are brilliant and such variety. I could have filled pages with all the pictures. You will either have to go and visit Folksy and put baby in the search box like I did or wait till I do another blog to see more.

Holding a baby is so relaxing
I don`t find it at all taxing.
For new parents there`s so much to get.
How soon to start, maybe not yet.
Then it`s time to start shopping
such an array to keep you hopping.
Babygro`s and a cute little hat
you will need all of that.
Little mitts and socks too
so many variations to view.
Cardigans too, don`t forget the vest
so many clothes. You think I jest?
You`ll have heaps in every size
for your baby, your little prize.
This child will be your pride and joy
come on now, no need to be coy.
Every baby is a special one
whether a daughter or a son!
