Eco Friendly Crafts. #Handmade #Folksy.

The verse today was inspired by a group I joined, they actually do poetry, the sort I can only aspire too. I doubt my verses, unless they improved dramatically, could actually be put under the poetry umbrella. I have to say though it`s fun to try. I like making up verses and find making rhymes fairly easy. That`s probably years and years of devouring 8 or so books every week. Mind you, I never watched TV because I preferred to read and when I couldn`t read for a long time I found it really hard, because I had never been without a book since I was a child. But we humans can adjust to pretty much anything and do, so I started to crochet again. At first it was blankets as I had done for years, but then I needed to do more intricate things, something that made my brain work harder. So I improvised because I couldn`t read and once I could, patterns seemed inordinately complicated. So I get an idea and have a go, sometimes it comes out once and sometimes several times before I am happy with the finished product. It works for me and I continue to build my creative skills. Sometimes I see something I like but instantly my brain is off, I could make that, but change this and add that, take that away and there it is. Nothing like the original but it sparked the idea.
Have decided to showcase items that are eco friendly, either because they are made from natural things or because they use recycled components.

Nature unleashed her angry side
taking many along for the ride.
We can`t continue to take away,
mother nature will have her say.
Things like this will happen more
these disruptions on the ocean floor.
On land they will increase too
until we say stop and more of you,
awaken to who you really are
a soul in the body`s car.
When we destroy the earth this way
eventually we do have to pay.
Big business focuses us on things
nothing that means our heart sings.
They say, you must have that and this
no thanks, I`ll give it a miss.
We destroy so much and what is it for
rubbish that is soon chucked out the door.
We take it out and return it as trash
all in the name of making more cash.
Us little people we do our very best
but big business puts us to the test.
Our small shops are vanishing very fast
soon diversity will be a thing of the past.
We crafters try and keep this alive,
so support us well and help us strive
to continue creating original things for you
because this is what we most want to do!
