#Babies and more. #Handmade #Folksy.

So many wonderful baby and child items available on Folksy so I decided to do a blog on all related things. Well I say all, it couldn`t possibly be all as I would be here filling this blog for days, instead of hours. Things have moved on so much since my children were babies, even since my grandchildren were babies, (the youngest is over 2yrs now). I love all the pretty gift idea for new baby`s available now, like socks and nappies made into beautiful creations. I hadn`t seen anything like this before I came onto folksy 8 months ago. I love seeing the creativity of making something so ordinary into something so exquisite.
I love babies. I find them so cute and cuddly and the ultimate is holding a sleeping baby, it`s so relaxing. I could happily cuddle a baby for hours. I love them just as much when they grow and start exploring their world, learning to walk and talk, helping to teach them new things. Children are a voyage of discovery as you tend to learn lot`s of new things yourself in the process.
I have discovered that being a grandparent is the best of all as you get all the fun without all the hard work that goes with it.

I love babies and children of all sizes
I think they are definitely the major prizes.
Sitting and cuddling and playing too
making noises like the animals in the zoo.
Colouring, drawing, painting and puzzles
reading about funny things like wuzzles.
Plasticine, play doh, so many toys,
doesn`t matter if they are girls or boys.
Sitting on the floor and pushing cars
then stopping to munch on fruit bars.
Singing and dancing is so much fun
watching a DVD when all that is done.
Sometimes we go for a ride on the bus
watching things whizz by without any fuss.
A must are the toy and the book shop
a visit to the city is never a flop.
Sometimes we go to the big library
should the book be a monster or fairy?
We read lots of stories and have a play
before it`s time to call it a day.
Off home for lunch before mummy comes back
then time for the little one to hit the sack.
While he sleeps it`s time for a cup of tea,
relaxing with crochet and my lovely green tea.

  1. A lovely collection - I wish I knew some babies so that I had a reason to buy something! I wonder if my cat would appreciate some booties...

The take away box is such a clever idea.
